Fogs out minimum 12 weeks
Re: 2024 Round 7 v Broncos: Game Day
Exactly. They also put 30 on them. Their defence is very ordinary but they have more points in them than us at this stage
Re: 2024 Round 7 v Broncos: Game Day
From here on we focus on the development of the team for the future our prospects for this year are shot. Terrible night

This is a very good presser from Ricky. If would just unfold his arms and stop looking so prickly. His message is bang on!

This year is a write off now. Get the colonel to the capital asap. Weekes will probably get a run next week.

Well to be fair he couldn’t really say much elseBilly Walker wrote: ↑April 20, 2024, 10:19 pmIt was excellent! Need to be patient. Young kids will have these sort of games, need to trust them. No excuses or whinging. It was a very good presser. (Except for the crossed arms and rubbish body language)
Re: 2024 Round 7 v Broncos: Game Day
Did Papa even play tonight?? I hardly ever notice him playing these days... seriously does the rickster only give him 10 mins or so?

You seem to be most prolific on this site when we lose. You constantly deathride the side. K weeks should be given a run also bring mooney on earlier into the game. It wouldn't hurt after that effort especially our line defence was awful tonight, not sure if strange is up nrl standard yes can catch the High Ball but was absolutely man handled tonight due to his stature being a boy.
Canberra Raiders supporter though thick and thin from the very beginning.

Re: 2024 Round 7 v Broncos: Game Day
Why should the club allow ricky another re-build. Times up we dont have 4 years to waste. We need a marquee player asap and a new coach.
Re: 2024 Round 7 v Broncos: Game Day
If we needed any reminders about the advantage of pace in the FB position, good kick chase and not racing out of the defensive line we got it tonight.
Try 1. Timoko races out of the defensive line and Walsh with a step and sheer pace is into the backfield and goes around Chevy.
Try 2. Mam cross field kick and the Bronco forwards are there to contest for the ball and get the try.
Try 3. Bomb to rookie fullback on a wet night and he drops it backwards and Mam kick chase and toe ahead for the try.
Try 4. Walters sees Chevy standing on the blind side so grubbers through to the open side to regain the ball for a try.
Try 5. Walsh too quick and powerful and beats a one on one tackle by Strange for the try.
Try 6. Raiders D not in a line and Cobbo uses his size, pace and step for the try.
Walsh is an outstanding rugby league player and his skills and pace are great to watch.
For the Raiders I thought Taps, Papa, Simi, Kris and Xav did ok in a side which was dominated. I thought Timoko and Schiller could have made more of the intercept opportunities they took. Losing Fog affected the kicking game. I would replace a half back with a half back and go with Adam Cook against the Sharks.

Re: 2024 Round 7 v Broncos: Game Day
Haha so true. I can’t believe the overreactions to the game and the pitch forks that have come out. Most of the people on here are hilarious.
First of all, atrocious tough conditions. 24 of their points were scored from errors literally on our line.
I might be the only one, whilst it was a hammering, I think we did ok. There were some really poor plays from individuals that let in tries, but we actually played ok and will be much better for it. Maybe I’m being ultra optimistic cause we actually have the right team on the park and can live with the volatile performances.
Chevy can hold his head high. He tried really hard and they peppered him. He never gave up and kept digging in. He’s a keeper and we need to be patient with him. Also someone to be patient with, Mooney. He will take some time to get where he needs to be but I think he had a really good game. Limited minutes and he had some good numbers.
The stand out for me was Savage. He didn’t have stronger numbers than Kris, but the way he defended and carried the ball tonight was special.
We will no doubt be better for it and will take a lot out of that game. It’s a good loss to have.
Losing Fog is massive. It’s Weekes and Strange next up. Mixed emotions on this. Could go well. Could be a train wreck.

Schiller was gassed. Different conditions, different possession, he doesn’t get run down. Not a wet tracker. Only loves a Good 4 or better.

Re: 2024 Round 7 v Broncos: Game Day
It didn't feel like we were a 28 point worst off team in the 1st half. Broncos hit top gear then and punished us for our errors. Everything they did seemed to come off. Walters said it was probably their best half all year.
We are a young team and should expect these types of games. I'm with Stuart, we need to be patient. Some of the comments I've read of social media are dead set loony bin stuff.
Although Broncos may have kicked back a gear in the 2nd half , we continued to fight.
On to next week. Live and learn

That was a tough replay to watch. The right edge got chewed to bits. Reload again for next week. Fog is going to be hard to replace.

Schiller being fast is a myth. He himself admits he’s not fast for a back. I reckon he’d know, because he knows his times.Regs Revolution wrote: ↑April 21, 2024, 12:16 amSchiller was gassed.
