God it is great to have some speed back in the team. We're going to have games like last week, but damned if I haven't got more enjoyment out of the first five games of the season than I did out of a whole season of dross last year.

Yeah even with our wins last year, it was thoroughly un-enjoyable. You wouldn't want to to re-watch any of those games.

I’ll second this. She has not always done well in field, but I have always been impressed with the way she operates in the bunker. I would rate her as one of the best in that role if not the best.

She missed a blatant ball on the line earlier
The old 4K OLED showed the ball touching blades of grass inside the line before the rest of the ball hitting the line. Casey got it right.

Good win.

Saulo was good
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I personally feel like the Wighton “addition by subtraction” was fairly inevitable.

His performances had fallen off a cliff in recent years. Souths are welcome to him. (Let’s not forget Rick was prepared to spend a huge chunk of our cap the next 4 years on him as a kneejerk response btw)

Very Happy with the two competition points, but gee the Eels played poorly. So much dropped ball. Dumb penalties. Having said that, in Strange, Xav and Timoko we have so much individual strike power. One a rookie, one returning from injury, one an International. From the point of view, 'are the heads screwed on to be motivated each week' we have the Titans next week. In years past this has been the time for complacency to take over. Here's hoping this group of Raiders is made of tougher stuff.

Say what now? Doesn’t matter if it hits a blade of grass inside first if it hits the line?

Absolutely loved the way the raiders bounced back this week, everyone in the team did their job , Timoko was outstanding, Young played football without the grubby stuff, thought only blemish from Fogarty was his goal kicking missed four.
Canberra Raiders supporter though thick and thin from the very beginning.

Well if he stayed then maybe we’d be last… him leaving did cause the rebuild penny drop…

But it’s another data point to add to show the coach is far from always right. That offer to Jack was horrific.

I know this is hyperbolic and stuff, but honestly. Despite a couple of errors, I just base my love of our squad on effort.

Cotric's first grade career - after SO many chances - and reaching the Blues - it just ended for me tonight at the Raiders.

James is a real go'er, he wants it more. Cotric could be something somewhere else on the wing, but if he wants to stay relevant he has to start thinking about bulking up and playing back row in 2025 or something. He's relatively slow, his skills are mediocre, his balance is extremely poor so he gets dominated on kick returns.

My point is, James has errors in him but he's inexperienced as heck.

Cotric has every opportunity afforded to him by us, the Dogs, NSW, and now he's "okay" in NSW Cup. James dominated NSW Cup in the early rounds.

He still had more good moments tonight than Nick has had all year. Nick against the Warriors was, yikes.

Dunno, I'm done.
