That court ruling effectively upended the 1215 Magna Carta and the principle that the king and his government is not above the law.

Just outrageous.

And how about the irony of the conservative gun loving folk needing their guns to protect them from the rogue rulings of the conservative judges of the Supreme Court.

Ironic indeed! Doubt they'll need them for that reason though... To paraphrase the GOAT, Democrats buy guns too 🙃

Curious as to what people think about this... too early to blame the sitting government?

What a rediculous report.

Just goes to show that any agenda can be sold if you manipulate the numbers to “prove” that what you are saying is true and correct in the real world.

Bit like the whole Climate Change fantasy .🤦‍♂️

Interesting movement in the US Presidential Election market on Sportsbet.

Kamala Harris ($6) has come in ahead of Biden ($7.50) to win the presidency. Biden ($2) slightly ahead of Harris ($2.50) to win the Democratic nomination.

Pressure growing on Biden with George Clooney tightening the screws.

The whole system needs a Ctrl+Alt+Del when George Clooney has influence on matters that either directly or indirectly affects literally millions or even billions of peoples lives. All they need is the tent cause they definitely have the Circus 🤡

George Clooney advising on us on an election between the reanimated corpse of the former vice president and a buffonish reality TV star with a messiah complex.

Yep, odd times.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

I’ve been watching these markets every day for months now and they fluctuate wildly. A couple days ago Harris was in front of Biden as the Dem candidate and then it flipped again. I think it shows that Sportsbet genuinely has no idea.

I still think there’s absolutely zero chance Biden contests the next election, despite the fact he obviously still thinks he will be. I just see absolutely no chance the Dems don’t push him off the cliff if he’s not prepared to go gracefully, I just cannot see a reality where he goes again, the guy can barely speak.

Do with that what you will.

Agreed. The discontent is getting louder. It's only a matter of time. The drums are beating. He needs to step aside to preserve his legacy.

I don’t know, seems there’s some hefty motivations for his party to keep him if he won’t step down voluntarily, which doesn’t seem to be about to happen…

There's some pretty huge motivations for them to throw him into the ocean too, particularly a) losing the election and 2) the amount of campaign funding that's being withdrawn if he stays on.

He might not go today, but he won't make the election.

Biden just introduced Zelensky as President Putin at the NATO summit.

Wheel him off for his supper and bedtime.

I mean, in just over half an hour Biden's going to give a solo press conference that if he completely flubs, which he almost certainly will, he'll almost certainly be even more cooked than he already is.

Also, at the NATO summit earlier today, Biden accidentally introduced Volodymyr Zelenskiy as President Putin... whoopsie!

EDIT: Ahhhh ****itall, Mickey beat me to it haha

Kamala Harris is currently at the shortest odds she's been to be the Democratic Nominee, she's currently at $1.83.

Was at $2.00 when I woke up at 5am.

I reckon him calling Zelenskiy Putin is the final straw. He's done, absolutely cooked.

A new candidate will certainly be able to defeat Donald Trump, who is the textbook definition of "toxic".

Agreed, it is pretty telling that even after the last few nuclear meltdown level weeks from Biden he is still neck and neck with Trump in polling.

In the most recent poll over 55% of people who said they would vote Biden think he should step aside. That’s wild.

I think the only hold up to the changeover is confirming polling as to how Harris would fare against Trump.

Harris will do better than Biden, and she stands a very good chance at beating Trump if they get her messaging right, but the Democrats really should run with someone like Gavin Newsom and put Trump down once and for all.

I said "certainly be able to", not "certainly would". There's a huge difference in the context between those two statements.

And Trump has already laid enough of a platform to "defeat himself". If anyone even remotely half-competent takes him to task on abortion, January 6th, the Ukraine war, his contempt for NATO and Project 2025, he'll be absolutely sunk.
