No idea who else is a candidate for that off the top of my head. Apparently there's 7 options!
The correct answer I should have played occurred to me only a few hours ago
Korobete
No idea the other 6 but I’m SURE he’s one

Good to hear nofo was also a bust, he was my other name I considered.

Edit: ah ****… I missed the easy lay up… JAC! God dammit

Of course... has to be. He was a gun for Wests and Melbourne. Went to Rugby too early imo

EDIT: Koroibete that is, JAC and Nofo also played for both clubs but obviously didn't go to Rugby...yet

Charlie Staines was who I used there.

I didn’t rate the chances of actual WT players getting across the stripe 4 times so I started to think of players who came from/went to better programs

This one was right in my wheelhouse so a bit disappointed with the score.
I got a bit confused with Phil and Julian Bailey, probably could've scored better there.
Played all my juniors with Sweeney so that was an easy play for me.

300 games one wasn't too bad , had a couple and was fairly confident on 1 never been on the bench and got it.
But that took my option away for 300 and field goal. Which I bombed out on as I forgot about the games that were before 98 not counting.

Nice grid for me! Once the 300/no bench went down, the rest I found fairly easy

My approach to that was to eliminate forwards, they’ve all come off the bench at some point
No halves because most of them start their careers with an odd bench spot ala Thurston
Just wanted an outside back. Took my shot from there

Got my first zero too, for dragon no bench, a qld cup flyer who got exactly 1 game on the wing. Nick Campton wrote an awesome piece about him in the lead up to that game

Two great scores on bottom corners on raiders players. Including one all timer

I agree. I thought so long as that player still played post 1998 you could use them as an option, but it pretty much doesn’t count anything they did pre-98 (points scored, teams played for, players played with, etc). Today for example, Dave Furner still played post 98 but didn’t score over 500 points post 98 so you can’t use him for that square even though he has like 1200 points in his career

The Raider with 5 finals tries had me reeeal nervous given it seemed to only have 7 options. Makes me think some of the obvious options in my head were losers

Went with a guy I vividly remember scoring two against us and at least 3 but I think probably it was 4 with us

Absolutely blitzed the middle row with SOO players and Raider/Cowboy
But took a lot of rough scores elsewhere

Raiders with 5 tries in finals had me stumped.

Roosters, Storm, Panthers, Rabbitohs, Sea Eagles probably played the most finals post 98. Couldn’t think of many ex Raiders in their ranks who scored lots of tries in finals.

Wighton was the top scorer of 26 points. I’m not sure who the others are. I went with Michael Robertson and got lucky.

Raider/Cowboy was interesting. I went with Brett Hetherington. Off the top of my head other options were Jason Smith, Shaun Fensom, Kurt Baptiste, Luke Bateman, Rod Jensen. Can’t recall many other post 98 options

Wighton and Rapana were in my back pocket and i was pretty sure they'd clear, but i went with Shaaaaaaaandor Earl
I know he got 2 against us playing for the Panthers. And there was finals run where he definitely got 3 but i think it was 4 playing outside PEAK Blake Ferguson

Ha that's a good get - I even used Sandor a few days ago for another grid but didn't think of him for the 5 tries in finals option! Now that I think about it, Blake Ferguson himself is probably another option for that square.

But I’m still FURIOUS that Daniel Wagon scored 9+ for Eel who played for Queensland
