I thought Danny Levi looked the best and the team was most cohesive when he was on the field.

He has - but he’s not in the picture for 24 and the least of our worries. Just a good old fashioned pile on to avoid the real issues
If he's not in the picture, get him off.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

The only exception is the players from the Indigenous match.

78th min TRY COWBOYS to Thomas Mikaele. The refereeing has been downright awful in this game. Converted.

Cowboys overcome Raiders allowing Broncos to claim Preseason Challenge title

A stirring second-half comeback saw the Cowboys run out 36-26 winners over the Raiders on Sunday, in a result which ensured the Broncos claimed the 2024 Pre-Season Challenge title.

Trailing 14-8 at the break, North Queensland blew the Raiders away with three tries in six minutes early in the second half and then went on with the job to pick up their first win of the pre-season and end Canberra's hopes of claiming the title and $100,000 in prize money that comes with it.

All in all gd effort, just need to short out the combinations, and kicking game, weaks, Strange, or Walford, hopefully foggery has improved in that role.

While neither were poor, I didn’t think Ata or Mooney did anything to justify the calls for them to be picked. I thought Saulo and even Hola offered more. For me though it was Hoskins and Smithies that are right in the frame. Guler wasn’t impressive.

What’s there to like?

We’ll probably have Strange out for a while and he was our best player.

Weekes was ordinary. Woolford was terrible (Levi is going to get picked now you know it). Stewart is definitely not ready.

I think some of our forwards were good. But I already suspected to be the case.

cant be too unhappy with that, still got that poor10min period which won the game for Cowboys

good signs
* Morgan Smithies
* Zac Hosking
* Peter Hola
* Ethan Strange (hopefully not suspended)
* surprisingly Savage look ok
* Papa and Whitehead did well
* usual Timoko

who stood out for you?

We looked good in first half. Provided strange isn’t suspended he has to start. Chuck in taps, raps, Kris, horse… I say we start the season in better shape than last.
Levi for sure with starling off the bench at hooker. Puru looked good. Smithies and Hosking strong when on and Hola I thought looked good.
Trial form and energy much better than previous years
