Going for the kill shot too early now
Playing like a team that knows they’ll win the game and trying to pile on before it’s earned

62nd min TRY RAIDERS to Jed Stuart. Really smart, slows, changes the pace, then tears off to the try line. Converted from in front Weekes.

Who was playing halfback from minutes 40-60? Was it Puru? Because Weekes definitely wasn’t.

Re: 2024 Canberra Raiders NSW Cup
Here's a question...
Right now Cotric, Shiller and Asomua are all ahead of Stuart.
But what if Jed keeps improving at the rate he is at... he's improved heaps over the last year... I wonder how Sticky would handle a first grade call-up and how the fanbase would handle it, there would be some who would question the legitimacy of the selection, something intriguing to follow in the next 1-2 years.

65th min TRY RAIDERS to James Schiller. HAT TRICK. Now they’re making the Magpies pay. Just the result of stretching to the edges. No conversion Weekes.

He won’t get near them as a winger. I could see him maybe playing a bit of firsts as a utility edge.IBG wrote: ↑March 16, 2024, 12:59 pm Here's a question...

How relaxed-looking is Jed Stuart! Seemingly without a care in the care loping through the defence with ease.

59th min TRY RAIDERS to Simi Sasagi, chasing a Kaeo Weekes kick. Weekes converts.

I’m been quite negative about most of our recruitment. But in terms of depth I reckon identifying Sasagi as a depth second rower and calling back Cook as a reserve 7 are both really good calls from the club.

Agreed. If something happens to Fog this year I'd be happy to see Cook.

If he gets a call up at some point he’ll have earned it but I think his level is nsw cup
Could probably have a good career in esl

No more deserving player to bring up the 50 than Trey Mooney

A reminder
Every minute Trey Mooney spends in nsw cup behind Guler and Saulo is a wasted minute

What a stupid rule
So we get a tap from our 40. Where is the advantage?
Just dumb

Re: 2024 Canberra Raiders NSW Cup
Pretty solid performance there
First 20 minutes of the 2nd half was sloppy otherwise this would be 60+
Lots of good performances, lots of pressure on the first graders

These rules simply disadvantage the team that doesn’t deserve it.
Gives the team who’s just conceded points or a goal line drop out an advantage.

That’s pretty ugly defence there
But we can probably give them a pass on that this late in the game and up big

Great win and a total mismatch. I could see the similarities to the game plan with first grade last week.
