Geez sparse crowd in Melbourne for a final. Lots people at ground level but pretty empty up high in the stands.

Geez Smith was terrible in defence there.

Geez refs seem loathe to make a call on Melbourne in Melbourne and Broncos in Brisbane.
That looked dropped by harry grant live and Klien was in good position.

Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
Roosters knocked on first anyways but Ashley Klein is a joke. He can’t let the game go for more than 2 minutes without getting involved and even when he does he stuffs it up.Postman Pat wrote: ↑September 15, 2023, 8:25 pmThat was horrible decision, clear knock on.BJ wrote:Geez refs seem loathe to make a call on Melbourne in Melbourne and Broncos in Brisbane.

Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
Wow. Great play Sanden Smith.
Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
Neither of these teams are winning the premiership. Storm limping out of the finals again.
Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
Looks like the Roosters practice field goal set ups.
Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
Deserved from Storm after the ref and Bunker suddenly don’t interfere on an obvious whack to the head of Grant.
Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
Storm should have been given the penalty, but they don’t need it. Looks like the Roosters didn’t play enough “Roosters football”.
Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
Klein just didn’t want to make a tough call tonight. He really shouldn’t have been in the best two refs.
Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
I’d love to see a Storm v Warriors grand final.
Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
unreal they didnt call the clean shot to the nose of Grant...ball didnt lie, they scored and won anyways
Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
Nah Storm haven’t played well enough this season to deserve a grand final place.
Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
Anyone but Brisbane and Penrith.
Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
Clearly a 'wall' with two blockers standing next to each other - which was made illegal a few years back. Hopefully Klein's last game this season.

Good to see the refereeing being kept to a high standard.

Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
The stats on teams winning the week after being taken to extra time in nrl finals would be pretty dire I reckon.
Got to be winning cleanly and well for the best chance to go deep. Games like ours against the knights last week take too much from you physically and mentally.

Good point. Panthers and Bronx had perfect week 1 games.gangrenous wrote: ↑September 16, 2023, 4:28 pm The stats on teams winning the week after being taken to extra time in nrl finals would be pretty dire I reckon.

I think the Bronx might have a similar run next week, unfortunately.
Panthers will be in a dog fight.
Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
Knights player with a clear shoulder charge, unpenalised. We'll see if he gets cited.

Pressure starting to bite now. Knights will have to Gamble.
Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 2: Teams and Game Day
Diabolical forward pass leading to a Knights try missed earlier. Now the ref tries to take a fair try off the Warriors!
