Broncos got the usual leg up from the officials, but I think that is the worst that I have ever seen the Storm play.

Imagine being the smallest bloke on the field, having zero experience defending in the front line and being out defending the middle in an NRL semi final.
Feel terrible for Pap, I really do, but Bellamy needed to show a bit of smarts there.

Brisbane look likely, dammit
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I asked the question about the warriors a few weeks ago.
I'm seeing the reality of their standard.
And the Panthers.

Bit of a bludger of a finals series so far. Teams 3-4 way out of their depth against teams 1-2.

Watching the Storm last night and Warriors today reminds me so much of Raiders footy. Clueless. Dumb errors. Under the pump.

I'd take a Penwiff hatrick over a single Broncos premiership. And it's not even close.dubby wrote:Anyone but Panthers and Donkeys

Both highly objectionable options… but I can understand why some might prefer a Penrith hat trick. I’ll just pretend the Grand Final never happened if it’s between those two.

Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 1: Teams and Game Day
If Penrith go 3 for 3, they deserve it. They've been a dominant side since 2020. They're a home built team, and a non-glamour club.
The Broncos are afforded every advantage by the NRL. They always have the best scheduling, seem to get the rub of the green from the officials, can bring in marquee players and retain guns on questionable TPAs. Penrith fans might be bogans, but Broncos fans are arrogant with a born to rule mentality, encouraged by the club. **** them.

So kick off in Auckland next week will be 9:50pm
What could possibly go wrong! Can't see many kids being able to go the game and most fans will have a 2 skin fulls before kick off!

Not sure who I want to see lose this game more. Scumbag Roosters who shouldn’t have even made the 8, or seeing the Sharks choke like last year.

Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 1: Teams and Game Day
Thoroughly uninspiring game at Cronulla at a diabolical finals venue. Cronulla’s home ground has been a construction site for three years, with no sign of what they’re building being finished any time soon. And it’s clear it’s not going to do a thing to improve the actual “stadium” or its capacity. In fact, the new buildings look like they’ll constrain it from being anything other than a small suburban ground into the future.

I’ve watched too many Raiders games this year. Felt like the end of that half the players were on 1.5x speed

How is Rudolf a starting prop at NRL level? Bog average.
Re: 2023 NRL Finals Week 1: Teams and Game Day
Tedesco had to be sent I guess. But 10 minutes is too big a penalty. Should only last until the next scoring play in my view, for a professional foul.
Neither of these teams deserve to go through, really.

Why not make an illegal play to stop a try if a try is the highest penalty you’ll pay?
