I think the raiders great reset is coming , but for now it's grind, bleed green, and hope like he'll for the rub of the green, bounce of the ball, and just hope like he'll panthers beat the cows, and we can get a home final after beating the sharks at home.
Fingers crossed.

If just plays the opening for Puru to play the rest it’s a good selection imo. But Mooney needs to come in for Croker.

Yeah 100%. A sensible selection, however only on the presumption Mooney comes in for Croker.

We reckon there is any chance of that happening?

Surely Mooney plays. Would be entirely reckless and irresponsible to select him on reserves and miss the elimination final in NSW cup and not play first grade either.

Interesting call if Penrith win. Do you risk fog/rap/tapine etc for first week of finals?
Interesting call…

And we all love a home semi but tbf…we play better away so….

With strict orders not to pass the ball I'm guessing. This one is going to be another punish to watch.

Surely Hohepa can't get the standard 3 minute debut with Croker already there in the 3 minute role.

So providing panfers go on to win against the half cows/half boys.. a Raiders win tomorrow means a home final against roosters and a loss means an away final against sharks?

Loss means 8th - assuming Knights win (5th) then we play them
Win means home final (5th - if Knights lose) v Roosters (8th) or Cronulla (7th) (if Knights win)

The critical game last week was not our game v Brisbane, but Parra v Penrith in which Penrith lost and also Luai got injured. Luai losing and Cogger in means them playing their full strength team to develop combinations. Penrith just look like young angry men running right over Cows atm

I don't like much of their players, but you just have to admire the way Penrith play football and how they go about it. Efficient and smooth. They were over half way on 3 tackles on their sets. Liam Martin is so underrated. He's great on that right edge.

Best team in the NRL era for mine.

Yes.
Which to be fair, with this squad (spine) is a very good outcome. Compared to some of the teams that didn’t make it, it is actually a very good achievement.

Whilst we all have coach/selection/misc. other gripes, objectively, getting a team into the 8 that had a FB all year who has never played the position in FG before ; have probably the bottom 2 or 3 hookers in the comp and a bottom 4 or 5 team halfback, it is a very good outcome.

No it isn't. We have played worse this year. Our differential is over minus 100 and we are lowly ranked on attack and defence.

You have lowered your standards and that of our club due to your love of the coach. You were only one of two people that defended him when he went on his weak gutted go attack last year (Rd 21 thread v Penrith).

You are entitled to your opinion, but this year has been a failure as we should aim to get into the top 4 due to our easy draw. We had 3 chances to make the top 4 - beat NZ, Newcastle and Melbourne. We couldn't do it. The easy draw gift wrapped to us got us in the 8.

And about your personnel comments, Stuart shouldn't even have played Kris at FB. We saw how good a centre he is v Wests. He also recruits the hookers and fans who watch a lot of football complained when he signed Levi.

Perhaps the easy draw wasn’t so easy after all. Three of the four preliminary finalists are going to make the 8. As it stands we played 4 of the top 6 twice.

Why the **** do we have an old centre on the bench?

Stupid question I know, but Croker over Mooney is an all time classic.

Especially with Starling and Puru also on the bench. We either go 4 props or 1. It's weird.

Who would you rather play: Melbourne, Penrith, Souths, Roosters, Parra, Cowboys twice or St George, Wests, Canterbury twice?

Look at the info graph below titled "Difficulty of the draw: How tough your club's opposition has been in 2023" which takes into account 2023 results:

https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/how-pe ... 5dxl2.html

"Conversely, the Warriors and Raiders have made the most of ‘double up’ draws that both feature stragglers like Canterbury and Wests Tigers."
