Site update

Post by greeneyed »

We have updated the banner and done a bit of colour changing to the site. Nothing too major. If you can’t see it, it’ll be because caches need purging/updating. If you have any feedback, happy to hear it.

Thanks to nacho for the updating!

Thought this was the Bulldogs forum with all the blue and white. The Greenhouse is green no more!

We'll throw in another splash of (green) paint shortly once all the rebranding settles down I'm sure :)

Maybe the thing to do would be to make the left and right edges green, to match the green of the title banner.

For me the current update has views and reply numbers in green. That draws the eye where it's not needed. The rest of the green text is also clickable (username/user type), these numbers are not. I'd change them to something like the colour used for the forum description rgb(76, 93, 119)

Tend to agree, zim.

Rolled that back to blue.

The last time my eyes got attracted to somewhere they shouldn't my missus punched me in the nose so I feel your pain

You don't stare at the sun mate. You get a sense of it then you look away.

Or just wear sunglasses 😎. Stare at what you want for as long as you want

I didn’t think we were talking about the actual sun... but yes, sage advice

Nachos mate. Nachos.

He should be given keys to the house. The Greenhouse.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.
