Same team that beat Souths!
Except maybe no CHN. Or Kris. Or Saulo. Or Rapa. Or Hudson. Hell, completely different team then!

Saulo was fine. Think he copped one in the nuts. Came back strong.

Well we'll find out where Ricky stands. If it's 1. Rapana 5. Cotric, then we can pull up stumps on Savage at the Raiders

We are -50 on F/A. Hope we turn it into a positive F/A after playing the Tigers next week, but they are coming off a bye and have looked good in the past few weeks.
Young (if he plays) v Bateman should be good.

I think whether Kris and Raps pull up ok or not will also answer the "does Croker get rested" question.

Yep, interesting call on Croker. Very odd.
Anyway, probably could do with a week off. What's the story with his eye socket?

It's great marketing. Need to show the NRL that we look after our own and you can have a long happy career at this club
Re: 2023 Rd 14 v Tigers: Teams and Previews
It’s bizarre dropping Croker just for the home game to be the 300. Is it implying that will be his final game? Get the 300 and he’s done?

Re: 2023 Rd 14 v Tigers: Teams and Previews
Savage back
Could we see the blooding of Morkos or the return of HSS given Kris’ injury
Puru might get to debut aswell!
how much better do we look with Woolford in the team

No way. We are 5/6 with him in the side and we can thank his kicking for at least half of those W’s.
Unless Savage is demanding selection, Croker plays IMO.

Beyond his 300 game I meant.
Re: 2023 Rd 14 v Tigers: Teams and Previews
6/7 actually. I hope he keeps playing beyond the 300. I think his form and goal kicking and the other "intangibles" he brings, he deserves the rest of the year at least.President Clinton wrote: ↑May 27, 2023, 10:43 pmBeyond his 300 game I meant.

Don't know what happened to his eye, it happened just before his no-try and I was a bit worried, but that was as swollen/dark as it got so I don't think it's serious.Seiffert82 wrote: ↑May 27, 2023, 10:25 pm Yep, interesting call on Croker. Very odd.

In that CT article that was posted during the week it did make it seem like they were considering all kinds of things, like potential ticket sales, the ease of getting Croker's family in, and also the fact that Raiders fans needed to know to buy tickets to Campbelltown or not, so I guess they were just waiting for him to get through the match. But it does seem a bit ill-advised to put it out so quickly, before Kris and Raps are known.

Re: 2023 Rd 14 v Tigers: Teams and Previews
I think Croker is only 90 points short of El Masri's point scoring record. Hopefully resting him next week won't cost him beating that.

Re: 2023 Rd 14 v Tigers: Teams and Previews
What a crock of ****.
Club should be focussed on winning matches, not individuals. No individual worth the effort would want to compromise the team/club anyway and Toots Jr is too classy.
Pick your best team. Sentiment doesn’t come into it. I’d bf disgusted if it does. Manufacturing a”moment” renders it cheaper for all concerned.

Hope somebody alerts Stick that HSS is on 14 appearances. No way he should be playing the big 1-5 on the road.
Re: 2023 Rd 14 v Tigers: Teams and Previews
Savage
Hop
Timoko
Morkos (Kris if available)
Rap (Cotric if raps out)
Jack
Jamal
Saulo
Woolford
Tapine
Papa
Hors
Puru
Starling
Guler
Mariota
Young (pending after origin)
Would be weird to see papa back on an edge but jeez we need some second rowers.
I get the sentiment behind Croker’s omission but if Kris is out you do what’s best for the team and play. There isn’t one easy win in this comp anymore, every game and 2 points counts

Rnd 15 will be a huge day at GIO.
300 fg games for Toots and a personal points tally of 91 to smash the Worriers.

Re: 2023 Rd 14 v Tigers: Teams and Previews
I’d guess HSS comes in. Webb may debut on the bench as well, hard to see Young playing 80 with a two day turn around.
Re: 2023 Rd 14 v Tigers: Teams and Previews
When Wayne Bennett coached the Bronco's and they were the bulk of the Qld team, he always wanted them to play soon after Origin. His reasoning was that they had just had 10 days off so to play 2 days later when they were on an origin high was to their advantage.
If Hudson is not hurt during the Origin match I reckon he will put his hand up to be picked and Sticky will select him.
With JC out and Kris' injury to be assessed I hope Xavier is selected at FB. Rapa has already said this season he does not want to play FB so pick a player who does want to be in the position.

Re: 2023 Rd 14 v Tigers: Teams and Previews
Croker was interviewed after the game and they asked about testing him, he was coy with his response sighting that Kris and Rapana did not finish the game.
Then later Stuart announced that he would rest Croker. I am guessing this was after he had time to assess both Kris and Rapana.
With the above I assume both will be good to go.
1 - Savage
2- Hoppa (Man I wish he had a bit more pace)
3 - Kris
4 - Timoko
5 - Rapana
6 - Jack
7- Fog (good to see we have a ready Made replacement already on the books to kick it out on the full)
8- Papa
9- Woolford
10- Saulo
11- Webb
12- Horse
13- Taps
14- Puru
15- Ata
16- Guler
17- Sideways Nic
Could really do with a mid season edge back rower!
