I wonder if the NRL will have retiring veterans do a motorcade lap of the Grand Final ground as part of the entertainment this year. I think it is a nice touch for the player and their family and I think most fans of other clubs would give a clap for the inoffensive Croker.
I think the fans of other clubs will be genuinely sad to see him retiring
Nobody will be more sad to see him go than opposition right centres
Come on mate, you’re marginally better than that.
Leave those type of cheap shots to trolls like Billy Walker.

Imagine a guy that rightly got called out for using an horrendous term on the game day thread trying to take the high moral ground on something. I’d stay in the shadows eating your wicked wings for a while if I were you Nicko.
Demetriou must be under pressure now from the sack and a blast from the past (Wayne). Leading the comp at one stage, with 6 SOO rep players in the line up (Latrell, Walker, Murray, Arrow, Keaon, Cook).

I don't know why people like Joey Johns talk up Lachlan Ilias. He is about the same level as Brad Schneider before Brad went to the UK.
I'd argue he's worse. Defensively at least. Schneider was uninspiring in attack, but could at least hold his own defensively

Agree with Finchy. He’s a myth. And not even a myth who can defend. I saw somewhere someone souffs related saying Mitchell has to play 6; Walker 7 and Wighton fullback.
I kinda think they are a team on the way down. Cook’s regression reminds me of Hodgo’s; Mitchell is lazy and getting older and more unfit and loose; Walker has a touch of Wighton rocks and diamonds and they lost their best coach for basically telling the truth about the squad and team culture.
I shall herewith refer to them as ‘The Slide of the League’ until such time as they prove my thoughtful reflections and predictions of their regression false.

I was there. Go the Milk !!
This underhandedness (or bluntly cheating) generally really pisses me off.
But on this particular occasion I’m indifferent. Because if the want to wager their season on playing Jack in the halves then that’s something I’m happy to watch.

oh agreed. The salary bit was a debacle - but still happy to wave good bye to Jack. We got his best years. And I won't miss the kicks out on the full, the passes thrown out on the full and so forth.
Genuinely think we dodge a bullet with that 4 year contract we were offing. As others have said - years 1 and 2 could be ok, year 3 was going to be painful and year 4 was going to end in tears (or something like that)
Broncos capitulated last year and look at em’ now.
The Rabbitohs had there best player out for 2 months. They had too much ground to make up once Latrell got back. Sam Burgess is right twat who was leaving anyway.
They will start well but fade away. They've got issues with their senior players. Might sneak into the 8, but I don't think they've got the mental toughness to win a premiership
I think they'll rip a few teams apart during the season. Quite an attack they have on paper.
Agree with Frog the question is if they have a sustainable drive within the place. I get the sense they have a few downhill skiers in the joint and a questionable culture brewing.
Latrell is always capable of turning up fit, staying healthy and putting together a season for the ages. He's that good if he can put all the ingredients together for long enough. Is this the right set up for that? Time will tell.

They don't have any grunt in the middle. Tatola is underrated IMO, but he cannot be your best prop and he is for them. He's been injured a lot this year too, so has Arrow. Burgess is old. It was a long while back, but I thought we just rolled through their middle pretty easily.

see I think Tatola is overrated, their pack relies on Murray and Keaon

I think the entire 4 years would have been painful and ended in tears. He’s been crap for the last 2 years. And he’s getting worse. Waste of money
interesting piece from magnussen on SEN this morning that Souths now want jack to play fullback and latrell at centre whilst according to his source that the raiders have been begging jack to play fullback and he refuses.

Don't pick him then if that's the case
Thought I'd question how reliable Magnussen's sources are, probably the same as Raps refusing to play FB

I listened to that too. I was surprised but not completely shocked. He goes well there. Says a lot about the apparent dictatorship that Ricky runs. Clearly not the case if that source is reliable.
