I talked them up before a ball was kicked this year but geez the way they played in that second trial was concerning. Looked like they'd just met in the carpark before the game. No cohesion whatsoever.
they're spoon bound, I've been saying that for a while.
reserve grade spine, aging forwards

Their entire backline is full of players who couldn't crack the starting side in their previous team.
yeah it's a dud side, Katoa looks good

TBF it does usually take new backlines a while to click but more concerning for me was their forward pack. They bought virtually the entire starting pack from the Storm and we may well see the Adam Blair effect 'ten-fold'?

As far as spoonbound - geez it's a hot field this year. Dragons look dreadful, knights are on the verge, Titans and Tigers looking to improve this year but anything could happen with their sides - Api and/or Douehi go down they're in trouble. Then who knows what will happen with the Warriors?

It's almost as exciting as the premiership race.

Yeah not a player you'd ever have to worry about clocking off like that.

NRL 2023: Dolphins fined $50,000 for illegal dealings with Broncos player Deine Mariner

The Dolphins have been rocked by an anti-tampering scandal with the new franchise fined $25,000 by the NRL for inducing Broncos centre Deine Mariner to break his contract.

In a bombshell development that will rock the code, the NRL has sanctioned the Dolphins and Mariner’s agent with a suspended 12-month ban for attempting to poach the young-gun centre from Brisbane while still under contract.

That is what happens when you give an expansion team limited time to put a squad together.

I think I read in another article that 25k is the max fine? Hardly seems like it would stop any club from doing it.
