I wonder what absolute horse **** our coach will pull for this game.
Gonna be hard to outdo himself after that knights game!

Same team that ... *checks notes* ... beat the Knoughts! Replace Starling with Woolford though.

More importantly, we're all making sure we're coming to this game with rainbow stuff, right? After all, there's multiple Manly players we know that will throw off their game. Better keep the knives away though, they think that's all fine.

DCE Masterclass coming up
Re: 2022 Rd 24 V Sea Eagles: Teams and Previews
Manly wont be easy. For some reason they have the edge over us. I barely beat Knights.
DCE and Walker to have a ripper.
Starling and Whitehead positions questionable... surely.

We won't treat Manly as lightly as we did Newcastle. That left side was passive in defense for big parts of the game. It's the opposite when we've played Manly.
DCE is good enough to kick us out of the game. We'll need to make sure we put a lot of pressure on the kick from marker. Horse repeating what he did with a touch less of the on ground stuff is a nice baseline.

Looking forward to more of Ricky's tricks this week. Was astounded by the magic against Newcastle.

2022 Rd 24 V Sea Eagles: Teams and Previews
Alright peeps. There's only two games to go, and we all miss having the weekly segments which are good for a laugh and a bit of banter. This week we have.... *drumroll* ....
Rocky's view from the couch
This week, Faiders coach Rocky Stewart saw things from a different perspective than usual. Instead of watching the game unfold live from the comfort of the coaches box, or standing on the sideline, Rocky joined the rest of the couch-coaches, and watched the game on TV like the rest of the bums.
Rocky said:
"It gave me a whole new perspective. I always thought I watched the game more closely than the fans, and saw things they don't see. That's why I love shoving it in their faces so much.
But my view from the couch changed all that. I saw weaknesses in our game for the first time and in a whole new light. I always thought it was the refs, the bounce of the ball, a bit of luck costing us victory. I hated having 17 blokes hurting in the sheds.
But not anymore. I'm not into keeping secrets, I'm happy to tell you all my plans for this game. Ambushing the opposition without telling them it's coming is nothing but a weak-gutted dog-move. I've got nothing to hide. Gone are the days of the smokescreen.
I've noticed Smelly seems to be gassed a lot these days. I've been having to get him off half an hour early. 3 runs for 15 metres, 5 missed tackles, and yelling at the ref is hard work. I've come up with a solution though. It'll help Smelly, and it'll help the team. I'm gunna improve his fitness and output by playing him for 80 minutes instead of subbing him off. Genius!
I've also noticed Tommy is really hindering our attack. His service is slow and inaccurate. He runs around like a headless chook and completely stuffs our rhythm. I've come up with a solution though. Instead of playing him for 30 minutes, I'm gunna leave him out there all game, and only use Germ if there's an injury. The longer Tommy stays on the field, the better his service and accuracy will be right? Practice makes perfect! Genius!
To be honest, I hope I get suspended more. The time on the couch has really given me a fresh set of eyes to fix this team. Like the great late Frank Costanza said during Festivus, "I have a lot of problems with you people, and now you're going to hear about it!" "
It's unclear who Rocky's next target will be. Rumors are there are some long-standing grudges from an under 6's game 20 years ago. Whoever said "time heals all wounds" hadn't met Rocky.

Although Roosters have been playing well, I can't see them beating Melbourne in Melbourne. Beating Wests and putting on 70 is not the best preparation for Melbourne.
Souths v Cowboys is a flip of a coin, with Dearden out I'm probably leaning on Souths but Cowboys' attack was v impressive against the Warriors and I think their pack is better than Souths. Hope Payten plays Drinkwater at 5/8 and Hammer at fullback.
Parra to beat Brisbane, they can't come back after the 60 point mauling Melbourne gave them at their home ground. Dylan Brown has been playing outstanding.

Narrator: HKR was forgetting that even the Raiders had somehow managed to beat Melbourne in Melbourne, and that this match was anything but a slam dunk for the Storm.

Stop it Finchy - it hurts to laugh so hard! This is truly side splitting stuff. Please tell me this will be a regular thing. It’s absolutely outstanding reading on so many witty levels
Re: 2022 Rd 24 V Sea Eagles: Teams and Previews
Yeah Dearden's injury doesn't help at all. But if Parramatta thump Brisbane and we win, that's our best hope.
If that happens we will know exactly what is needed pre kick off in the final round.

I think Cowboys are pretenders and the class in key positions of Souths will get them home... but will be interesting. Cows have less to play for too, with top 4 sewn up

Yep , the reason why myself and many many others don't post much here and rarely even read the threads anymore.
There is more bagging the club and other fans then supporting this team who can still make the finals
I remember the glory days of this forum where we even had a section "ask Ben " and questions were sent to Ben Pollock to answer them

Exactly. And they play Penrith in the last round, so if they lose one or both, Storm would overtake them and Cows would be 4th, meaning a trip to Penrith in the 1st week of the finals. Cronulla have an easy run in.zim wrote: ↑August 23, 2022, 10:48 amThey want that top 2 spot for the home final. There is more bagging the club and other fans then supporting this team who can still make the finals

Everyone should always blindly support the club and the players always* and be happy when we almost make the finals!!
*unless, of course, they sign with another club, then we instantly hate them and think the NRL should throw the book at them for any indiscretions they might have.
