NRL clubs swoop Greg Inglis’ old school of Wavell SHS
The Canberra Raiders have signed two more players from famous Brisbane rugby league school, Wavell State High, Lauloto Salei and Mark Tuialii.
Salei hails from Alice Springs and moved to Brisbane to further his rugby league career, playing with the the Norths Devils and Wavell. He has been part of the Broncos system and was in the 2022 Devils Mal Meninga Cup squad, playing in the back row. Mark Tuialii is a centre.

Re: 2023 Canberra Raiders Junior Representatives
What happened to the kid of Hosking we signed? was it Zac that just debuted for the Broncos?

Re: 2023 Canberra Raiders Junior Representatives
Doesn’t ring any bells in my memory. Zac Hosking has come up through the Knights, was their NSW Cup player of the year twice, and then the Broncos poached him last year. Been playing with Wynnum Manly this year. Seems he got his NRL debut at age 25.
Re: 2023 Canberra Raiders Junior Representatives
Could've sworn we signed him, the kid I'm thinking of was a versatile backrower son of a manly player.

Path to NRLW open for aspiring young Canberra Raiders
The club is opening their Tarsha Gale Cup trials on September 23 to all female players aged between 18-19 (in 2023) and will be focussing on athletic ability and NRLW ambition as they look to build the squad.
“The Raiders are a proud development club, and we want to see the best athletes and players put their name forward to be part of what will be a massive season for women’s rugby league in Canberra,” Raiders Pathways and Performance Manager Dean Souter said.

Re: 2023 Canberra Raiders Junior Representatives
Apparently signed Redcliffe Dolphins Mal Meninga fullback Guy-Visachi Waerehu.
Canberra Raiders sign Guy Visachi-Waerehu
Redcliffe SHS fullback Guy Visachi-Waerehu has been snapped up by the Canberra Raiders. It is a dream come true for Year 12 pupil Guy-Visachi Waerehu, a fullback or five-eight, who arrived on the shores of the Peninsula in January from Auckland hoping to land an NRL deal. He left his family behind and his sacrifice was rewarded.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Canberra Raiders rob Dragons of five young guns in stunning off-season attack
Canberra has pulled off a shock attack on St George Illawarra, pinching five of the best up-and-coming players from the Dragons' ranks. The five 18-year-olds were seen as part of the future plans of the Dragons - and at least six more quality youngsters have been signed by other clubs, as well.
The players who have made the move to the ACT are Country under-18s and Dapto fullback Jack Piccirilli, hooker Jaxon Lavender, the Dragons' under-18 player of the year from the Dapto Canaries, utility back Sean Trindall (Shellharbour Stingrays), fullback Judd Stevenson (Corrimal Cougars) and centre James Walsh (Albion Park).

Nice one. I’m not familiar with what went down during the mergers, but I’ve felt an Illawarra / Canberra merger would have made more sense than St George.
Canberra could have then claimed the South Coast and regional NSW as their own.

Ive got a rello on the Dragons junior committee who has never stopped whingeing about the Raiders pinching Morkos a year ago, now he has gone up a gear over these kids, rates one of them in particular, kid from Gerringong I think.

Seems to be a lot of turmoil at the Dragons. If something like this happened to our juniors I'm sure we'd be asking questions of those running the Club. Hopefully some will develop into FG footballers.
