Our two casualties from the weekend are 2 promising 20 year olds who make way for 2 over the hill 31 year olds whose days are clearly past them. Really shows the hope the club has in our youngsters.

Ricky doesn't learn his lesson with these mind boggling conservative picks, and honestly a team like this is truly deserving of a spoon.

I hope we lose on the weekend. We're never gonna learn our lesson unless we hit rock bottom and until those boneheads at the club realise what a mess we truly are.
I think Seb will be playing some back row.
I am not that confident at all that Kris won't ride the pine for 70-80 minutes... After all, it has happened before. Well, basically weekly. Almost as often as a second half fade out?

What? To work on his game? He'll get an offer soon enough from a coach who will know how to properly develop him, instead of 'kicking the can down the road'.

Ricky please quit.

Another season just wasting away. Give the young blokes a decent crack for crying out loud.
He might have COVID, being tested.
Probably just caught a cold on the wing. But seriously, thank you.

Wingers in the raiders only catch colds this year anyway, it hardly gets past Jack on the left, hence why cotric and timoko aren't getting any ball, and with jacks **ck fingers they are forced to defend nearly all game anyway...
What's the point, Ricky can't coach. Season is done.
Nothing's gonna change, except me giving away my tickets to the dubbo game and going to have some fun with the family fishing in our beautiful inland rivers... with the radio OFF.
Don't want this team stuffing up any more of my weekends.

Not seeing where our points will come from. Watched Croker in one of his reserve grade games - he was fine, just trundled around, raced out of the line once or twice in defence, but I don't see him breaking the line. Wish him the best, possibly better than Semi in defense and less mistakes, and maybe offers less in attack - but the bar is low.

I cant recall us fielding a worse halves pairing, ever.

I know we had Williams and Frawley last year for game together? But pretty sure we won

Where does that leave CHN? Or Elliott once Starling comes on.

Will mean we have 5 back rowers in the team this weekend lol.
They can both play middle as required.

Paul Crawley on NRL360 regarding claims that Ricky has avoided scrutiny: "Ricky is Canberra. He means more to that club than the wins and losses. He means more to the community. he is the biggest part of that club, and it's just logic that they will not get rid of him."

* David Riccio said all the team were upbeat when it was announced that Croker was back, with Jack running over and jumping all over him - the mood visibly lifted, and players supporting him on social media. Crawley said we are lacking leadership. Riccio said we need a lift of emotions and energy. Our 40th anniversary celebrations this weekend - Croker said the importance of playing for the old boys of Canberra.

* it was mentioned by Crawley we have young players that are not disciplined (I would say it's the older players and experienced players who are showing a lack of discipline)

* the journalists Riccio said read the tea leaves and think there's no pressure at all on Ricky. Only happened once in our history.

* Crawley said Ricky needs to be cut some slack - we made GF and PF when we flew up there on the day. Last year our HB walked out on us and lost John Bateman, and this year no Hodgson and no Fogarty

Notthe worst. I would say the least inspiring though. Some guys who aren't cutting it retained. Some who were dropped because they weren't cutting it are recalled. Some young guys who should be given a decent opportunity are dropped.

The biggest risk is if this team beats the Dogs (one of the worst in the comp) then it could be our lineup for several more weeks.
Nah I stand by it given the context of opposition year to year.

Far and away the worst spine I've ever seen named for Canberra. In fact it's the worst spine I've seen in several years from any team.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

1 CNK

Do some digging and find a more inept lineup.

Yeah don’t I don’t agree with Julian there, isn’t that the GF backline minus Leilua?

I think it is the most out of form squad I’ve seen. It actually looks decent on paper - full of rep players.

This line up came to mind from 2012, but maybe today’s spine take the cake.

1. Robinson
6. McCrone
7. Williams
9. Waddell

We actually won with that 1,6,7,9.

WOOOOOW. Thats pretty good! Tight contest
CNK wins his match up against Robinson
McCrone might win against Frawls lolol
Williams definately takes the Schnieds match up at this stage of his development
But it's only been 1 game... and Adam Elliott might have Travy

Someone mentioned it earlier but it's a weird feeling to actually hope we lose to put more pressure on the club for change. If we scrape away with a **** win, this nightmare will just continue to prolong.

I'm sure there's a quote or two that represents this state.. Will count on some witty GHers to find it!

It is true that he's become bigger than the club. That's precisely the problem though

And this whole Croker as saviour narrative is just bizarre. He's not even a rep player, never was. I mean I do think it might give us a bit of a lift. But then reality will kick in and our lack of skills/speed/fitness/iq will come to the fore. Against the lowly Bulldogs? Maybe it'll just get us home. But I have my doubts. Julian's not wrong about that spine

Robinson was allergic to contact and Botman is right - Elliott is probably better than Waddell. He was rubbish.

Yeah, about the only thing missing from the current line up is a few short bullet passes to to the head, a fullback running away from the players he's meant to tackle and a dummy half throwing the ball behind his runners.

Reece could run and pass were Charnze can run(not as fast) and tackle.

I’d say Reece’s best game was more entertaining then Charnze’s

He could. But i promise you i have never seen a a player so terrified of contact in my life
As a fullback the trys he conceded because he simply refused to put a body on a guy and the tries he actually didnt score before he'd prefer to try and out run a guy and fail to finish in the corner, than to either take contact and score easily or draw and pass... it was honestly embarrassing. I honestly dont know how he had the balls to show up for the film sessions.
