Agree. Only a fringe first grader in my opinion. I’d like a second rower with some skill and tackle busting ability.
Murchie doesn’t move the dial.
Agree with this. It's surprising that fans talk him up on this site, whereas since he left us he could not even hold down a permanent spot in the Warriors team. Josh Curran from the Warriors is a much better player than him.

It’s probably because we make him look like a superstar when he plays against us. He’s a plodder against everyone else
Looked fine against the dogs last week running outside in lines and defended well. Created all sorts of space for the guys outside him.
Curran is a lock not an edge, and at the Warriors till 2024.
Frizell and Ofahengaue with player/club options for next season (unclear if they have been exercised yet). Confident that Mooney and Mariota will step up next season but we need more experienced forwards for depth.
Both of those players are natural middles. I don’t see a quality edge player coming through, and we have missed out on numerous attempts to recruit one with Elliot, Hetherington, katoa and now zac hosking making the list of targets that chose other options.

I do think we need a 13, as well as an edge.
Though I do think Mooney will be a long term gun in the 13 role, however seems he is being groomed as an edge.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I think between Papa and Taps we have all the experienced props we need (unlike the circumstances that brought White here, for example). I’d be concerned that with a third older guy in the rotation (be that Tamou or Tapow), we could be found out. Mooney and Ata will hopefully be established in the 17 next year.
I don’t think an outside prop is needed. A lock, yep, in case Mooney is a better prop.

Plus development players is plenty and plenty good enough IMO. Even without Rushton. Rushtons exit means the club need to actively source a 13. Rather desperately now IMO.
I've mentioned him multiple times but I think our best options to upgrade our squad are to make a big play for Liam Martin for 2024 hoping the opportunity to have him join early in 2023 is possible. Then search far and wide for the best half option under 22 who is looking for a chance.
Martin isn't a sexy name but his hard working ethic and no nonsense/hard play are just what we need. And we aren't currently a destination for a real shot at an established half with a name already - a young, hungry guy is worth a punt. Might fail but Schneider and Fogarty are not long term options for varying reasons.
The outside backs and middle forward stocks we have are adequate for now - a half and second rower is required for any decent Finals push in 23/24. In my opinion anyway.

Teams don't just sign players just for the next season. If they can grab a very good young middle they will do it.
