Josh Schuster can’t make the Manly 17. Wouldn’t mind seeing him in green.
Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2022
Schuster will be the 6 at Manly next year. Foran is off to the Titans.
Actually I think Foran got injured last night so he might be the 6 sooner than that.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2022
I was not a fan of the Dylan Brown talk last year thinking he and Wighton in the halves would not work.
Man he has gone to another level this year. Really matured. His defence has always been epic but now his game has grown.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2022
Reckon Schuster would top the league on errors per minute played. To much showboating and going for hero plays when the percentage plays are needed. Has more negative than positive impact on his team. He's got a way to go before he's a consistent first grade standard player. The talent is there. Remains to be seen if he can harness it well enough for the NRL.President Clinton wrote: ↑August 5, 2022, 7:07 pm Josh Schuster can’t make the Manly 17. Wouldn’t mind seeing him in green.

Sticky loves a Schuster style project, that's for sure.
We definitely need to keep a spot open for a troubled individual. Sisa Waqa, Dave Taylor, Liam Knight, Joey Leilua, Curtis Scott, Adam Elliott.
He actually gets good results on a regular basis. Often not so good for the player after they leave the club.

Put Jayden Salmon on the unlikely list….

Salmon actually might want to move to live in Canberra where judges find it nigh on impossible to jail weak gutted bogun dogs no matter who they kick or what illegal act they commit.Billy Walker wrote:Put Jayden Salmon on the unlikely list….

John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

I think that ship's sailed.
Strange player. If you were building a prototype modern second rower, you could build it on KPP, but he hasn't really strung it together, yet.
If he fulfills his potential, he'll be quite something.

Unfortunately we are forced to target those kind of players because we aren't a desirable destination for a number of reasons. Have no issue with projects, we simply can't pay high enough overs to compete with the likes of Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney based teams.Seiffert82 wrote: ↑August 6, 2022, 12:18 pm Sticky loves a Schuster style project, that's for sure.

Yeah, that's true. We seem to do a good job of it though - although not many stick around.Raoul Duke wrote:Unfortunately we are forced to target those kind of players because we aren't a desirable destination for a number of reasons. Kind Hethrington is still contracted for 2023 at the Broncos but he is one that I would be looking to give an upgraded contract to. Broncos would struggle to match the price and if you get in before next season I think his stocks will rise considerably.Rick wrote:What second rowers and locks are available for next year?

Sounds a bit too friendly for a forward in the NRL. I’d prefer it if his name was Mean Hetherington.RTW wrote: ↑August 13, 2022, 9:57 amKind Hethrington is still contracted for 2023 at the Broncos but he is one that I would be looking to give an upgraded contract to. Sam Verrills would have been a handy buy, he's FG standard and defence is way better than Woolford and just better player than Starling all round. But going to GC.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2022
Honestly, which star or up and coming player would want to come here and be coached by Ricky?
That's why we have to sign players like Adam Elliott (terminated), CHN (terminated then revoked), Curtis Scott (let go), Cotric (let go)

Bullemor is apparently trying to change careers. We were interested in him and nearly got him here before. Could be worth a shot

Adam douie hasn't resigned for tigers. I reckon he'd be a decent pick up. Wouldn't be too expensive.

Bullemor and Doueihi would be good additions to our squad, I doubt we’ll see Doueihi want to change clubs to play center. He’s not replacing Jackin Ricky’s team

No, not a chance. We are one of the only clubs without a signing for next year, long dark summer ahead without any signingsRaiders666 wrote: ↑August 13, 2022, 11:22 am Are we ever going to sign another player from another team? It doesn't seem like it

Maybe we should sign Bullemor, he can replace Elliot and we could also give him some on the job training to help him transition into finance.Raider_Boy wrote:He wants to go into finance. Apparently we were interested in Zac Hosking, a back rower of the Brisbane Broncos, but missed out to Penrith.

That would have been a good signing.
Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2022
Seems we are actively looking for backrowers. I'm glad we're on the lookout for one, it's a position we need to look at strengthening.
Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2022
I hope we don’t end up with Jack Murchie.
