I'll lead out first 10m and you'll be fine from there mate
I was once backhanded complimented at cricket as being surprisingly quick over 10m ImageImage

HSS is still bulking up. He’s looking solid. I’m not a sprint coach, but confident I could cut at least 0.5 seconds off him time by dropping the blade on the ride on. He’s running in swamp grass there!

He does have a record with recreational drugs a long time ago… this story from 2010, when sprint coach for the Roosters.

Fabri was convicted of knowingly taking part in the supply of a commercial quantity of methyl amphetamine and knowingly taking part in the supply of the drug Ecstasy. He pleaded not guilty to both charges but was sentenced to four years' jail and paroled in 2002: https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/high- ... 1adcadefe5

I don’t know this guy or his back story, but in fairness, don’t all sprint coaches try to sell speed? - boom tish.. okay that was bad :nooo

Unvaccinated Canberra Raiders set to return to lockdown

They won't be segregated at training, but any Canberra Raiders players anything less than fully vaccinated will be returning to their own personal lockdown when they begin pre-season. The NRL could introduce a separate set of protocols for players who get a medical exemption from having the COVID-19 vaccine. They're working on how pay will be affected by any travel restrictions preventing them from playing.

The Canberra Times is reporting a "few" Raiders players not vaccinated. If they want a medical exemption they'll need separate ones to the ones given last year for flu jabs. Fringe/younger players return to training on Monday and senior players on November 19.

Top sprint coach Roger Fabri adds turbos to Canberra Raiders

A group of Canberra Raiders have enlisted one of Australia's leading sprint coaches, Roger Fabri, to get a few extra yards of pace ahead of the 2022 NRL season.

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Bailey Simonsson, Harley Smith-Shields and Brad Schneider have all been working on their sprinting technique before they return for pre-season training. Ryan Sutton is also feeling the need for more speed.

Please - Savage can teach Fabri how to run fast. The kid is lightning! If he gets any quicker we’ll have to deepen the in goal areas!

I would be more pleased about learning of Simo's record breaking pace if I was convinced we were ever going to actually see him in space — using it.

Good to see. We definitely lacked some pace past few years.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Speed is going to be soo critical to success. All top sides have speed to burn. We lacked it in 2021.

Jeremy Hickmans brings speed and intensity to Canberra Raiders pre season training

New Raiders strength-and-conditioning boss Jeremy Hickmans hails from Jersey, in the English Channel, and he took charge of the start of the young NRL squad members' start of pre-season on Monday.

"A lot of my philosophies are based around speed and intensity and it lends itself nicely to the way the game's changed. One of the things we've talked about is how the team can change and how we can bring that little bit of dynamism."

If this bloke can make Hodgo quick he's a genius. Good luck to both!

Interesting I saw a few of the Raiders gym junkies working out today- Sia (still around the group), CNK, CHN and interestingly enough, Joe Tapine working out with them. I really wonder if a solid year in the gym now will see any improvement from him- he was just a natural explosive player before...

Im already furious at how slow we'll still be

But honestly this sort of thing gives you hope. If the team can get 5% faster across the board, it really would improve us quite substantially
