Well, our destiny is still pretty much in our hands. Win and we are likely in. If Cronulla beat the storm they deserve to be in the finals ahead of us.

You do know the Storm are resting their 10 best players?

The storm will turn out a reserve grade side. It's the sharks spot to lose now.

They’ll still want to win it, as much as they say they don’t put much weight into the streak they won’t want to break it at 20.

If their reserve grade side does win it'll be because Cronulla played terribly. Even worse than today.

Parra winning is in our best interests here. It gives us a chance of playing them in the semis, and means that it is game on for the minor premiership, so hopefully the storm don't rest too many

Looks like the Eels will win. If so, the minor premiership will be on the line next week, so the Storm won’t rest many at all.

I think they'll still rest, although not as many

As Ennis said, many have had rests already anyway: Hughes, Paps, Smith, Olam, Grant. I think Munster will be rested, he looks tired, Addo Carr. And maybe as couple of forwards. Finucane and NAS will be back to get match fitness up

Surely any player with long hair also has a responsibility to tie his hair back neatly, so the chance of it being grabbed in a tackle is minimised?

Geez that's a soft penalty for Liam Martin (?) for stripping the ball. The ref yelled out for the Tigers player to release the ball so Martin just drops it to get a penalty. Just make him play the ball.

Nope. Just don't grab it. It's not that hard at all

His braids are 3 quarters of the way down his back, how do you avoid it in a contact sport? It looked like he tried to grab his jersey to make a tackle. It didn't look deliberate at all and as soon as he realised he let go.

Im with GE and Gerg on this one
If you're going to have that style of hair, it's going to get grabbed. That's on you. Tie it up, tie it back, shove it under a head gear

I dont think it should be a penalty at all in situations where people have hair flowing down their back,

Easy for us to criticise given most of us can't have that style of hair even if we chose to.

Yeah just and accident and not dangerous at all. Refs have to let that kind of thing slide.

If intent is the issue, then I don't think it's a "ridiculous" call by the on-field ref to blow penalty, as was being made out. Slow mo replay may show no intent (still questionable to me - tackling doesn't normally involve a hand grasping action) but on-field ref sees the hair pull in real time, infers intent and blows penalty, at the very least it's not a "ridiculous" call

Just watching 100% Footy from last night. Incomprehensible how Gould is backing that Mitchell tackle as careless. I didn’t hear him defend CHN on the same grounds.

Mitchell got off very lightly in comparison.

Gould is amazingly hypocritical so often. He sets an agenda in his head and then focuses on it ad nauseum.

He’s even created a feud with Nick Politis and Trent Robinson on it.

I've got more respect for Gould than most around these parts but some of his agendas are so dumb. 'Star players shouldn't be suspended for big matches' is dumb and he should feel bad for thinking and saying it.
