That's not a haiku!*

* I admit I have no idea what a haiku is, let alone if something is a haiku or not.

Ah right, I only ever viewed it on tapatalk. So as you noted it wasn’t so hidden! I thought you were referring to my Haiku, which is more than just a single entendre...

Raiders Review with Blake and The Pork

Post by gangrenous » June 11, 2019, 11:14 pm

Disclaimers:
* My wife drives a manual better than I do
* I’m not a fan of Pork as a euphemism for... you know. Find it crass and a bit disrespectful. So I’ve renamed The Pork to The Hug for the duration of my Haiku so I can feel marginally better about my life choices as I pour vodka on my Cheerios.

Can you hear that noise?
My wife driving a stick shift
That’s what grinds my gears

What’s the difference
Between hosts Blake and The Hug
You can’t Blake your wife

I just showed my wife
My last two Haikus, and now
There’s no difference

great episode guys. Loved the Bateman chat and the syndesmosis song.

I’d love to hear a Bulgarelli song. Maybe “Drop the final” to the tune of “Drop the pilot” by Joan Armatrading.

Yeah I thought about a song about Bulgarelli but not the Joan Armatrading angle.

Great suggestion!

The pork should be kept right away from the CNK negotiations otherwise we'll end up with CNK + 29 min wage players.

I was bleeding from both eyeballs after reading your attempt at Haiku, and couldn't type.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

To add to the G Williams discussion. He's an international, super league winning play maker that we've signed on a 3 year deal.
He is certain to be starting as a play maker in 2020.
We've all had discussion on here before about new signings like Whitehead, J Bateman, Hodgson and where they'd end up. Those top level guys get their spot in round 1.

I think you're 100% correct there Zim.
