Basically a forwards drill looking at that, I will be surprised if they do anything but hit it up and defend. That's hopefully why Williams isn't named.

He is Canberra’s latest English recruit, who has been described as “grubby”, “a half gypsy” and a mix between James Graham and Anthony Watmough.
“He’s not the biggest guy and he doesn’t have the best rig on him. You saw him and thought: ‘OK, there’s nothing special’ but he has a brilliant football brain. He puts his head where other people wouldn’t put their feet — and that is what you need to make it in the NRL,” said ex team mate Heath L’Estrange
That does not sound good. It sounds like he is booking a space in the head bin. I've not seen him play, other than some highlights, so like all new comers, I wish him well and wait to see how he performs in the NRL.

Big team!
Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

I don’t think he meant it that way. More just that he’s tough. He also mentioned Bateman has an excellent football brain. Don’t think he’ll be Josh Miller mark II.
Geez, I hope he is as good as he’s being described.

Me too Ruben. One thing I am excited to keep reading about is that he plays with energy. Sia is one of our few forwards to play with good energy and I think just another player scrambling and making a contest of everything will bring all the other forwards around him up a notch. I'm hoping anyway.
We continue to **** about with blokes that are part of some fraternity. It's infuriating.

Good point. Sia stood out so much to me in the trial for his sheer energy and if Bateman is the same then it adds spark to our pack that's probably been missing over the last couple of years.
Luke Bateman, for all his failings, goes 100%. His linespeed and pressure on the kicker etc. are great. He's just hindered by natural talent. John seems to be a great balance between ability, energy and mongrel.
We don’t need to worry too much about this one lads. Stick will have identified this as our “3rd trial” in effect. No point in piling on the fatigue and risking injuries in Round 1 when we can just turn up, have a hit out, and probably put the titans away.
No one will remember this game when we have locked up a top 4 spot and we’re firing on all cylinders - in fact we will be hailing Stick as a tactical genius for not burning us out like the rest of the comp...

Could someone who watched the Mounties trial give us a quick rundown on the forwards?
Assuming J. Bateman, Tapine, Whitehead, Papa, Havili and Sia are in the side, who gets the remaining 3 positions in the 17? I'd have Horsburg so we are down to two of Guler, Bateman, Sutton, Collins, Murchie, Hunt and Lui.
Well Titans got out to 18 - 0 against a woeful Broncos then Titans were pretty ordinary in the second and Broncos won. Titans starting pack played well at tge beginning of the game but seemed to gas fairly quickly. They defended quite well in the first half but just gave the Broncos too many opportunities in the second half.
This is mine too, Dusty, except I don't think Sutton will be there. Hasn't done enough in the trials from what I saw. I'd pick Hunt ahead of him prettily easily. I think Stick would have Luke Bateman ahead of him too. If for no other reason than to not have three rookies on the bench.
Even though all three are almost entirely unheard of outside of this forum, a bench rotation of Horsborough, Guler and Hunt actually excites me a bit. There's an interesting mix of body shapes and there's a bit of power in there. The starting pack can go long minutes, so that would take the pressure of them a bit.
But I still expect Lui or Luke to be picked based on experience. Which makes sense (* braces for anti-Luke rants*).
