The winner of Australia's best Christmas Carol category is 'How to Make Gravy - Paul Kelly'
also wins the category for 'Best Song About Gravy'.

Whoever said "Goanna - Solid Rock" won. That whole album was excellent.

Close seconds would be anything by Midnight Oil or Something for Kate

I’ll get working on an Aus version of the GH Music Tournament.

I was going to wait until the off season, but I think with the way we’re going, we need it now more than ever

I guess I won’t be able to nominate “Pope song” by Tim Minchin.

Go-Betweens achieved every bands dream, performing at the opening a toll bridge in Brisbane that's kinda named after them. Probably more traffic that day than the bridge has seen since.

"A Tale They won't believe" is a cracker - I heard it the day it was written, as it happens. I was visiting Mick T(along with WPA drummer Marcus) and heard him inside his house just punishing an acoustic and shouting for several minutes until he stopped . We knocked again. He came out in stubbies and a sweated through Tshirt just beaming "I've just written a really good song!". Indeed he had.

they may have been "ruggers" rather than stubbies but it was 30 years ago
