Beer because wine tastes funny.

Beer, less of a hangover
Re: Choices
I think beer, because I drink it far more often than wine. I do like going on a boozy wineries tour however.
If you had to limit it to one type of beer, what would it be Toviii?

That's such a hard one. I'm going to get judged massively, but I think coronas.Dr Zaius wrote:I think beer, because I drink it far more often than wine. I do like going on a boozy wineries tour however.

Re: Choices
I can understand coronas. Easy drinking. I like some of the hoppier beers like Squire lashes, but really can only drink a couple before feeling bloated. I could drink coronas all night, and would have to to drown out the self loathing.Toviii wrote:That's such a hard one. Re: Choices
Hangover from most to least for me would be red wine > beer > white wine, provided it's a decent, non cask quality white.Lenny Leonard wrote:Beer, less of a hangover

I'd have to say wine, which is a bit strange considering how much beer I drink

Re: Choices
Beer hands down. I love a good red or two with a finely cooked meal, but you can't go down to the pub with your mates of a sunny afternoon and knock over a few bottles of Sav Blanc, it's just not the same. I also enjoy camping and getting out to the river for a few days. Whilst I'm not against taking a bottle of grapes, it doesn't hold a candle to beers in the boat, or beers around the fire cooking camp ovens or beers as soon as you roll out of your swag.

Re: Choices
Id probably choose red
And if I had to pick a specific type - cab sav just because it's a nice full bodied red that goes really well with beef and goes ok with most other meat
If I was to pick white it would be sav Blanc for the same reason, goes really well with seafood but is good enough to drink with most white meats

If I chose red or white it'd be red, and definitely a Tempranillo.

Beer and beer only. Cannot stand wine.
Like RB nothing beats sitting round a camp fire or a day on the boat knocking back a beer.
You should have included spirits as an option as well.

Definitely. I think the two go hand in hand. I generally drink beer and then i will enjoy a spirit nightcap. Usually a gin and tonic or a Sailor Jerry and tonic.Sid wrote:Beer Vs Spirits would have been a tougher choiceManchild wrote:Beer and beer only. Cannot stand wine.

Me and plenty of other people on here enjoyed many of bottle of Lighty sparkling before Raiders games.
That stuff was the perfect pairing with pizza and wedges.
