NRLCEO 2016

Post by Millsy »

Hey guys.

https://thebench.com.au/home

Yes it is that time of the year once again, so I thought I would put up an interest thread for those of you who were in the two GH Premier League Comps in 2015, for anyone new interested in joining Div 2, we will take names first in best dressed and seee how many positioin will be avalable.

This year things have become a little easier for me in sorting things out, I am able to reset last years comps for 2016, so unless you have been relegated or promoted you are already joined up for the 2016 season :D just go to the site and log in with your log in details from last year.

The site and comps are practically open now, Paid comps from 2015 will likely be free this year (yet to be confirmed) only when you do a Legends of League comp will it cost $10. The 2016 Season Guide will be available for purchase in a few weeks time, around mid January.

The scoring for us will be the same as it was last year, I have posted that up in the two comps on the home page in the Comp Notice Board.
One change is we will ditch the Last Squad Change Round 20 deadline, so during the finals series you can still drop and pick up players if you saved any terminations.

If anyone from either comp can't return or doesn't want to, thats cool just let us know in here.
I'm not sure if Lurch is coming back this year, if not we will have one free spot to fill in Div 2, also I'm not sure if Az (Campbell Colts) is returning to Div 1, Im sure Manchild finished 3rd in Div 2 and he will be on standby for the Colts.

The two teams who have been promoted up to the GH Premiership this year - Jason (The Untouchables) and Manbush (Bushmen).
The two teams relegated down to the GH Championship Lurch (Stirling Silverbacks) and Victortheviking (Lismore Larrikins).

I will put up two seperate comp threads later on once we have the teams sorted out.

As teams for 2016 are confirmed they will go below.

The GH Premiership Teams 2016

Millsy - NQ All Stars
Sid
GD - Demolition Men
Raidersrawesome - GCRs
Jason - The Untouchables
Manbush - Bushmen
Manchild - No Eye Deers

The GH Championship Teams 2016

Tovii
Lord Funkington
Nickman
Lenny Leonard
Jeff Steinberger

Division 2 will most likely use the 24 hour Snake Draft. The draft order will random and you draft from 1 to 10 in the first round and 10 back to 1 round 2 and it continues like that for 25 rounds.

The site is a lot better now at the bench than what is was when you played before at the old site, things run rather smooth nowadays.

We have 25 player squads, no limit on how many players you pick in each position, its up to you to get that right, So I'd say draft 3 fullbacks, 4 or 5 wingers, 4 or 5 centres, 2 five eighths, 2 half backs, 2 hookers, 4 or 5 props, 7 or 8 back rowers, but remember some players have dual positions and can be picked in a few positions, also during the season players can get extra positions added if they play a certain position 3 weeks in a row, example - Papa is a back rower but he starts and plays prop for 3 weeks he then gets prop added to his eligible positions, he is now a back row/prop.

Check out the old nrlceo site, it is just used for info now http://www.nrlceo.com/how-to-play/

The 2016 season guide will be out in a few weeks, it will have up to date info and stats from 2015.

I normally do SuperCoach but I guess I could give this a crack as well if there is still a spot available.

Nrlceo has Super Coach well and truly covered.

If we have a spot available in Division 2 I'll let you know for sure :) new players are alway welcome.

See what everyone thinks once all signed up.

The 24 hour draft can start at any time once all the teams are sorted out, hopefully get going at the end of this month, then you guys have a month to get it done.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm sure our Quick Draft was done on a week night, the only thing we have to worry about before setting a draft night or draft day is when the Tier 2 Legends of League drafts are on.

The Mal Meninga and Allan Langer Comps, those are the ones a few of us are in.

If we get a chance at the end of this month it might be a good idea to do a mock draft or practice run of a quick draft, we have 3 new guys joining us, it will only take 50 mins to an hour.

I'll find out if I can, see if the Meninga LoL can draft after the 13th, also if we can set a day we would like to draft, say Monday night Feb 15th or 22nd, then I could ask Mig to have the Meninga and Langer LoL drafts not on either of those Mondays to be safe for our GH draft.
The season guide is close to being finished it could be out by the end of next week, it should have all the info we need.
