The reception he'll receive this weekend will be interesting

Not worth the cash offered that's for sure. Glad we all know now Stuart should dump him from 1st grade why give him more experience plus we look like a bottom 4 side this year anyway. Broncos have one dud in barba hopefully Milford goes backwards under another super coach in Griffin.
I get the feeling we will struggle to recruit big names for next year.

Dugan, Ferguson and Milford all gone. We must have a huge amount of cap space to recruit.

Why let him play at either? Stick him as 18th man in the team for the rest of the year, if we're lucky half a year without game time may take some of the developmental work we've done out of him before he plays for brisbane.

Especially if White, Campese and TLL go.

They need half a dozen players at least.

I always felt that he would be going, so I'm not really surprised. I won't be watching any game where he starts at full back this year, you have my word. I will not support a club that wont take a stand with these ungrateful *****.

Excellent idea. 18th would be the worst for his development, so I'm all for it.

Anthony Milford to honour Broncos deal

Post by CJ42 »

I'll still like every time he does a good run and ride everytime he gets smashed, but I'm kinda excited to see who that money is going to attract.
Surely we can pull something off, k hunt at fullback would be absolutely delightful but I doubt he would come here.

We need a fullback that we don't lean on to come up with something special though, no frills.

Not worth the money the Raiders were offering, however I feel sorry for the Raiders the NRL is a joke atm.

I'd be happy to see him play the rest of the season for the U20's tbh even if it costs me a trade in super coach.

Good luck to him but close the door on your way out Thanks.

Sending him back to 20s would be the worst for his development. It's pretty petty though.

Maybe a swap before June 30 for Hannant could be arranged?

Oh well, he was always gone but now we finally have confirmation.
Spend his money on a fullback, backrower and hooker.

Why not be petty Bennett did it with Hodges at the Broncos, no point continuing to develop a junior for the opposition at the expense of our future.

I can't see how they can have Barba, Milford and Hoffman in their side.

Seems so unbalanced.

We allowed him to play SOO this year I don't see it as being petty, it also gave Lockyer access to him.

The club bent over backwards and apart from a couple of highlights he hasn't done much, plus Joe Bond has been good for Mounties.

Does anyone know if we cop any compensation for this?

I mean we wiped the kids a*se for 7 years.

Probably for the best but, not worth the figures being thrown around in the media.

mate, the third party sponsorship in the NRL is the worst fraud in international sport. Broncos get such a leg up with their Fridaynight tv games, third party financial deals and the fact they are the only team in a city of over 2 million people when there are half a dozen teams or more in Sydney. And they are still crap! SHAME!

Good god man! Next you'll be suggesting junior concessions for the cap!

We'll probably end up getting fined for moving his folks down or something instead.

Greatest sham of all. I've never been closer to giving up NRL. I actually want Milford to continue to play for us so I have the final reason to stop watching league completely. It'd do it for me.

Great young player with amazing potential would have loved to have kept him but so early on in his career and at his age the money where offering him is way too much. So with Milf leaving and hopefully a few others let go we should hopefully see a few new faces in the side and maybe the next BIG thing you never know.

Wouldn't be unhappy if we ended up with Hoffman in all this. He's not a five-eighth, but at least he runs.
