Can that sent from whatever thing be disabled from the back end?
a) it seems to be broken for some devices and just says sent from (device_name)
B) if you type sent from anything after that becomes really tiny and hard to read

Re: Tapatalk
The Tapatalk Android app has a new version that’s either installed or about to be. You might like check for the update (I can’t see if it’s been done yet, as I have Apple devices. With anyone using the Apple app, the message isn’t broken as the iOS app is functional.) We’re also going to have the Tapatalk plug in updated with the board app by sometime in January.
Re: Tapatalk
We have an update to the Android app which should fix the problems. So please update in the Google Play App Store.

It is working. Suggest you delete the app and reinstall it.

Re: Tapatalk
We have had a new Tapatalk plug in installed for the new board software. This should have resolved most of the issues with the way the mobile app was displaying some threads. If people are still having any problems, please let us know.

I have explained this previously. Apple has made some change or other... who knows why... but they won’t let Tapatalk upload images on our branded app. It can’t be fixed. Complain to Apple or Steve Jobs or whoever. It is Apple’s fault.zim wrote:I'm on a pixel 2 and can't upload images. "You are not authorised to access this area." Is the error I get.

It appears you can upload images on the Tapatalk standard app. Don’t ask why. It is ridiculous, but true.

Submit a complaint to Tapatalk please... or... submit a complaint here with an exact description of your problem... with screenshots... and the details of which app you are using and the operating system. Re: Tapatalk
I had to bluetooth them from my phone to my pc then use an image hosting service:

Re: Tapatalk
Sounds like a lot of wank to upload a pic.
But good to know there's a fellow pixel 2 owner amongst us

Re: Tapatalk
It's so much simpler when you are browsing on your phone and the app just works. When it was working previously I would switch from pc to phone just so I didn't have to host the image somewhere.
Re: Tapatalk
Submitted to Tapatalk. There are issues with the Tapatalk apps and we are submitting them to them to Tapatalk to investigate. I'm sure they'll be doing their best to fix them.

Re: Tapatalk
Thanks mate. I would have submitted it but I assumed it would mean more coming from a site using their service rather than some scrub user.
Re: Tapatalk
I'm sure it doesn't as Tapatalk are very responsive. They're a very good app and they work hard to fix problems.
Re: Tapatalk
@zim Tapatalk has confirmed there's a glitch. It has been sent to their engineers to fix.

Re: Tapatalk
By the way, you may not add a photo on The GH as an attachment. This feature is disabled. You should be able to upload a photo using the Android GH app... but not the Apple GH app... as Apple policies preclude Tapatalk from doing that.

Re: Tapatalk
Ah ok sorry took your comment to mean they'd fixed it.
Re: Tapatalk
Sadly, the only way to now upload images are as an attachment in both the Apple and Android versions of The GH branded mobile app. However, it has been a long standing policy that we do not permit attachments, as images potentially add significantly to the "size" of the forum and our server requirements.
The Tapatalk standard app still allows you to upload images on the site, with the image hosted by Tapatalk.
