These are the sorts of performances that really make you worry about Hurts and his future
Holding the ball an age, refusing to hit targets over the MOF, and subsequently eating sack after sack after sack and committing turnovers.
Disastrous first half.

Could be worse. You could be a Cowboys fan watching Cooper Rush take snaps.

Hurts has eaten 5 sacks already, every single one of them on him, not the OL. 2 turn overs, both entirely on him.
With competent QB play this is a 14 point game at the half
And he just missed Smith on a walk in td on a deep throw

He did what he's good at in that drive. Big play with his feet got them in scoring range. Scoreline close to what it should be now. Hear what you're saying though. His passing overall is way off what you need from a top QB.Botman wrote: ↑November 11, 2024, 8:43 amAt this point, i wouldnt actually mind seeing a back up take some snaps for the EaglesNorthern Raider wrote: ↑November 11, 2024, 8:40 amCould be worse. He even threw a check down pass to the RB and took the free 7 yards.
Then he makes the pass rush miss and throws a dime... This offence works but for it to work Hurts HAS to get the ball out on time. When it does, we go up and down the field amd he looks like a top 5-10 QB in the league.
When he holds it, sacks and turnovers kill drives and looks like one of the worst in the league.

That's what I mean about overall passing game. Decision a big part of that and it's also Hurts kryptonite. He has no lacknfo talent in the other aspects.
On the other side, Cowboys look terrible with the ball. Can't get anything going. One good run from Dowdle and that's it.

Yeah this cowboys team looks absolutely cooked with Rush. Have to wonder if Trey Lance could get in there sooner than later.Northern Raider wrote: ↑November 11, 2024, 9:02 am That's what I mean about overall passing game. 6'6 230lbs WR we drafted in the 6th round
He's huge, built like a TE but can really run... he's started to make some plays the last few weeks. Think he could be developing into a legit red zone threat

That's some serious size. Must be one of those guys that measured poorly as a WR and TE respectively so his draft value dipped.

His athletic testing for WRs (broad, vert, dash, shuttle) were all pretty average to bad for a WR, but 4.52 at that size isnt bad at all. Think it was a classic tools pick and hope you can create a role for him.
Everytime im really pissed off at him and ready to jump off, he does something like thatNorthern Raider wrote: ↑November 11, 2024, 9:32 am After bagging Hurts he just dropped a dime on AJ Brown.![]()

That's why its frustrating, as you said, talent is there. Just needs to be more consistent in his decision making

Teams are so worried about injury, they dont let their players play pre season... but 31-6 with 9 minutes left in the game isnt time to pull key starters? This game is over. (This jets season is over too.)

Yeah it might be time for the league to let him go as an idea.
And me too, since i've still got him on one bench in a deep dynasty league.

I see Goff decided to return his completion percentage and QB rating back to the mean all in 1 game.... 5 INTs... ooph!
Re: NFL Thread
Huge TNF game tomorrow
Commies @ Eagles
Both on short weeks... this is the first of a three week test that will show if this eagles defensive turnaround is actually legit or it just aint played no body.
Quinyon Mitchell, who i think is #2 DROTY to Verse right now has a chance to make a big statement. Terry McLaurin plays 70% of his snaps on the left side, which is where Mitchell lines up. We're going to see a lot of these guys matched up. If he can lock Scary Terry down, on an island game... hoo boy
Excited. Commies are no joke. Jayden is no joke. Winner takes control of the NFC East. Go Birds.

I dont think the eagles have beaten a notable team all year either... Packers in week 1 in Brazil is the best win on their resume but it's week 1 and an international game, so i sort of discount it a lot too.
A good case will be made that this will be the best win of the year for whoever wins this game

Eagles draw has been similar so can't draw much of a line there. This game will tell us a lot about both teams credentials.President Clinton wrote: ↑November 15, 2024, 7:06 amI actually don’t think Washington have beaten a notable team all year. Really starting to believe in this eagles defence now
The DL isnt great beyond Carter, but the back 7 is actually really good
the corners and lbs are the strength of this unit... i dont think i've ever been able to say that in all my years following the eagles

Good contest. A couple of key moments flipped the game in that last qtr. Barkley was a machine all game. He's an incredible RB. He's also thriving behind a good o-line with good blocking schemes. They only need to give him half a chance and he'll take everything on offer.
Jayden Daniels did OK without being exceptional. Unfortunately his intercept was a match defining error.

Re: NFL Thread
I don’t think the interception was defining. They were down by two possessions. The key moment of the match was the Eagles stopping Washington on 3rd and short and then 4th and short at the 26 yard line.Northern Raider wrote: ↑November 15, 2024, 3:06 pm Good contest. Re: NFL Thread
The commies had 2nd and i think 1 on that sequence
2nd down Jalen Carter dominates, immedate penetration, tackled no gain
3rd down Graham and Baun get the tackle for a loss
4th down Reed and Baun rally, beat Jayden to the edge, pushed ob no gain
Huge 3 play sequence, highly drafted stud shows up (Carter), legendary vet makes a play (BG) and then undrafted free agent (Reed Blankenship) and a vet signed 1 year 1.6m OLB being converted to ILB make the play
This defence is really good and it's getting contributions up and down the roster. The big hole on defence right now is edge, Bryce Huff hasnt worked out, but they're getting enough by committee for it to be ok... not sure how that'll hold up in the play offs

I've publicly stated on here many times that I don't have the in-depth knowledge of other posters but I don't care what rational reason anybody has because there is absolutely no justification for the Giants to let Barkley walk out on the club. Their best player by a million miles, and it shows this year.

I chose the words match defining rather than turning. Plenty of time on the clock and Daniels was given the chance to get them back within a field goal. These are the moments for the QB to make a statement. Unfortunately it went the opposite direction.President Clinton wrote: ↑November 15, 2024, 4:19 pmI don’t think the interception was defining. 4th and 2 stop was certainly the turning point of a tough, gritty game.

Re: NFL Thread
Couple of big dick performances in the late window
Geno overcoming a really stinky INT and leading two excellent scoring drives in back to back possessions to win the game
And Josh Allen donning the superman cape to get the Bills up over the Chiefs. Both hugely consequential games in terms of play offs and seeding.

Bills win over Chiefs was a huge one. AFC top seed race remains wide open now. Chiefs get that win they would have top seed in their pocket. Remains to be seen if Steelers can remain in contention.
