I don't mind the ones that are raging turners. That's a good challenge for our batsmen (one they often have failed in recent times). It's the dead, lifeless wickets that don't do anything which irritate me.

Absolutely. Those were shocking pitches.

Need to get these 2 out before end of day or we are looking a bit nervously over our shoulder

Yup. MCG has been a bit ordinary of late, but still mostly had results (probablysays more about opposition than pitch), bar the game it got demerits

Great batting performance by Pakistan. Some catching practice before the next game please. If we held our easy chances I think we win that one.

Uzzie on 87 n.o. C'mon UK get past the Aussie devil number.

And .... he's done it 88 n.o. of an Aussie total of 3/184. Head is 17 n.o.

Uzzie out for 91. Australia 4-187.

I reckon 300 will be a good score on that pitch. Head has been a non-event in these conditions.

Might be an opportunity for Starc to bat at 8 and as an aggressor with Cummins backing him up in a more compact role, especially if spin is being used by that point. Batting orders probably a bit too rigid like this at times.

Should be noted that his 2 x 100s in Sydney was batting at no5 so don't count towards his opening record. He only got the call up because Head tested positive to COVID.

Honestly how awful is that record?!? No wonder we kept him out so long. And can't bat on the subcontinent either, geez
