I think he's gone a fraction early TBH. This pitch isn't easy to get wickets on.
Yep it's a definite risk. I can understand the argument both ways. It will rely on a magic spell of bowling just like yesterday

Agree Matt. If the wicket was breaking up the target figure would be easier to understand. As it stands near the end of Day 4, Pakistan have all wickets in hand and just under 300 to score in a day tomorrow to win or get batting practice for a draw. The first session on the final day will be vital for Australia. We must take wickets to apply pressure. Good luck to the boys tomorrow.

As I discussed earlier. I wanted the extra 20-30 minutes and the extra extra runs. With this declaration they don’t even have to attack very much to be on target with the runs. I’d rather them having to attack a bit more to give us a better chance to win it.

We’re still ahead of the game, but we need to get a couple of wickets before the end of the day to show it was a worthwhile declaration.

I'm still confident. Wickets seem to fall in clumps for us... I think it will be close, but am quietly confident we will pull it off.

Yes. Don’t know what Smith’s been doing at slip this series. We badly needed that.

I would’ve batted PAK out of contention.

Today they are in contention big time, would not surprise me if they get the runs and win series 1-0.

Yep. It would also not surprise me if they collapsed suddenly and we take the points.

I reckon I would have wanted 375-380, and 110 overs.

It's the difference between going into day 5 needing over 300 to win, or under 300 to win. If im the Pakis, I know which one I want.

Well this is either going to be Cummins finest hour, or a dud declaration which he regrets. We will see. An early wicket so a good start.

Geez our close in fieldsmen jump around a lot when the ball is about to be played by the batsmen. No wonder we’ve missed some half opportunities this series.

I was always taught to stay low and still when in close. Which is the way the Indian close in fieldsmen do it.

I have to wonder whether we’d have taken a few more catches in this series if we’d stayed still and made a play at catching the ball very late. Boonie was excellent in close to bowlers like Warnie, he always kept still.

The GOAT proving why he is the GOAT. A 5 wicket haul to back Capt Cummins declaration. Congratulations to the Australian cricketers and in particular to Uzzie who was not picked on his home track for the Ashes series, but showed how to accumulate a lot of runs since he was recalled.
