He wasn't picked to just land them on the pitch. He's been riding the hypometer for a couple of years now. Jumped ahead of a few in the pecking order. Needs to deliver now he's been given the chance.

Speaking of Green, he has his 1st wicket
Morris needs to change his nickname to the Mild Thing.

He got dropped unfairly a couple of times but he’s generally been a constant figure since his debut.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

Nah that’s not the case. He hadn’t made his first class debut when Michael Beer first played a test. They played in conjunction in the West Indies in a test later on though.

Lyon was dropped in India in ‘13 because he bowled right handed. Picked Xavier Doherty so they could fit Maxwell in. Big mistake. Then Lyon came back in, took 9 wickets in a match. Then got dropped for Agar in the next test in England. Another huge mistake and he took wickets again when he came back in.

He’s been consistently in the team since then. Was never really ‘in and out of the team’ besides those 2 tours in 2013.

Xavier Bartlett "rested" from the ODI today. He was a bit too successful and CA don't want him taking attention away from Morris.

They have been managing him all yr. Didn't play the T20 in Canberra for the same reason. But yeah, seems silly.

I'm gonna assume Head OUT, Fraser-McGurk IN.
Bartlett OUT, Hazelwood IN.
Abbott OUT, Sutherland IN?

It's not worth watching.

JFM, 5 agricultural swings. Out for 10.
Inglis, drove on the up, spliced to backward point, got 9.
Smith, chopped on, ordinary effort by Smudge, for 5.

Aussies were 3-50.
Labu and Green a little rebuild.

Green then shells a spliced pull to mid-on. 33.

Labu then immediately shells 1 to cover. 26.

5-91. Pitch is a little 2 paced, and a little up and down and a little left and right. But... ordinary batting.

Hardie and Short doing an ok job here, but they are going to have to bat for 20-30 overs if we have a hope of posting something.

We’ve under estimated the opposition here.

Where is Maxwell, Marsh, Cummins and Starc.

The batting has been pure vomit.

Greaves with a screamer at cover to remove Sutherland for 18. Not quite flush, but tracer bullet non the less, very sharp catch.

It’s been clunky at best but it’ll be probably be enough.

BigWood, Abbott and Zampa to get the job done..

Another comprehensive win to Australia in the 2nd ODI. Poor batting from both sides, but Abbott top scored for Australia with a career highlight 69 to build Australia's score to 9/258, he then took 3/40 off 10 overs and took a couple of catches to prove he wasn't loitering in the field. Hazlewood took 3/43 from 8 overs, Sutherland 2/28 off 8 and one each to Hardie and Zampa.

Third and Final ODI at Manuka Oval tomorrow from 2:30pm.

England doing their usual aggressive thing vs India and making a fist of it. India still on top but gotta say, I'm impressed with what they are doing. We were meek in India I felt.

Interesting that Norris broke down just as Brett Lee said he needed to fix his run up to help avoid injuries
