I don’t know what Jack expected when he had to clear out his locker on his last day with the club? A trumpet fanfare and a Luois Vuitton trunk for his gear.
I wouldn’t expect Ricky or Don are down there with a velvet cloth and cotton gloves, helping him with everything.
I imagine a locker room attendant makes a black plastic bag available for anyone who needs one. A more organised footballer might bring an old suitcase or a cardboard box.

Even in the NFL, where players are paid 10's of millions, once the season is over they're all clearing out their lockers with garbage bags like any other ham and egger. The players got their fan fare at the ground. Dont think we need a guard of honour to escort them to their car with their personal effects in a cardboard box.BJ wrote: ↑January 20, 2024, 7:30 pm I don’t know what Jack expected when he had to clear out his locker on his last day with the club? Agree Bot, and I kind of like sports where you are kept a little grounded and you are all treated the same at the end of the day. It’s just part of the lifecycle of a tough collision sports athlete.Botman wrote:Even in the NFL, where players are paid 10's of millions, once the season is over they're all clearing out their lockers with garbage bags like any other ham and egger. Could’ve been worse. When Mickie James was released by the WWE, WWE officials emptied her locker into a garbage bag and delivered it to MJ’s house.
At least Jackie got to clear out his own locker!

There must be a seriously low level of emotional intelligence in this thread. Jack wasn’t complaining about the **** garbage bag.BJ wrote: ↑January 20, 2024, 7:30 pm I don’t know what Jack expected when he had to clear out his locker on his last day with the club? He’s explaining how it became aware to him that his entire career at the Raiders was over and carried out with him in that one moment.
Re: Ex Raiders... where are they now?
I don't give a **** about anything the toothless bunny rabbit has to say about garbage bags or anything in life, so can we stop posting **** about him, he is an EDIT.

Former Canberra Raiders forward Joel Thompson signs with Rugby League Gold Coast’s Currumbin Eagles
Currumbin Eagles have pulled off one of the biggest coups of the year, signing a former NRL star. Second-rower Joel Thompson is the latest former NRL star to join the Gold Coast competition, after moving to Palm Beach.
“It’s funny, I ran into Matt (Geyer) a few times while on a walk and we got chatting and I told him I wanted to play again,” Thompson said. “Then I decided to come down to training and try it out. I have only heard wonderful things about Currumbin and living in the area, I thought I would be foolish to not go there.

He'd have to have chauffeur/minder to drive him to and from training/playing.

Exiled rugby league player Curtis Scott has accused NRL stars of “running scared” as he tries to chase a professional boxing debut: https://www.foxsports.com.au/boxing/its ... c2f5504b83
Curtis Scott complaining no one wants to fight him. Suggest that his manager / promoters reach out to Dylan Walker, Bateman, the guy from Kokomos, and members of the NSW Police Force

He'll be given a rude shock in the ring when most of his fighting experience comes from beating up intimate female partnersHong Kong Raider wrote: ↑February 5, 2024, 3:48 am Exiled rugby league player Curtis Scott has accused NRL stars of “running scared” as he tries to chase a professional boxing debut: https://www.foxsports.com.au/boxing/its ... c2f5504b83

Not the best judgement with that comment Finchy.

It’s factual. Convicted for domestic violence against his ex girlfriend. He’s a weak coward who’ll be shown up fighting someone his own size and gender.

Former Raiders stars set to fight each other in a boxing showdown
They were once competing for the same Canberra Raiders jersey before one replaced the other. Now former polarising NRL stars Joey Leilua and Curtis Scott will settle the score in a boxing ring. The former Raiders will face each other on a No Limit Boxing pay-per-view on March 13. Leilua will fight twice in the space of a month, with a bout against Kusitino Tui at the Canberra Southern Cross Club on February 17.

I’d rather come on here and read Billy Walker posts than watch that rubbish.
Seriously who pays for this???? I’m talking about all the no limit boxing matches.

I always look down my nose at these footyhead boxing matches that get all the publicity while genuine boxers get none. But I'm a massive hypocrite because I'd love to watch BJ punch the snot through Curtis.

Geez is there a more disliked former than Curtis Scott?
I’m leaving Brett Finch out of this intentionally and for good reason. Before the really awful behaviour, I don’t think he was as disliked as Scott.

Re: Ex Raiders... where are they now?
BJ will smash him.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Joey Leilua absolutely flogging Curtis Scott would probably be the greatest NRL wash up fight I could imagine.

I'd be right on Levi's side. I might not think he's worthy of a starting 17 spot but I have no problems with him.
