Just got in and read the whole thing.

Okay so I didn't win my event, but I got more than 1/3 of the votes... If crusher didn't lose so badly I might have got something. I know it doesn't work that way... but it helps me sleep at night. :P

I'll grab my meat cleaver and take 1/2 of Butters' award for call of the year. I'm the one that asked the question that enabled him to make the call that won the award... who ate the cat that ate the rat that lives in the house that R69 built.

BTW :roflmao at bay56 as an immortal of the GH.....and being banned!
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

You should've learned from Sterlk that, to win a Golden Boogs, you have to be notorious for more than merely shamelessly campaigning for a Golden Boogs...

This Award recognises old GH members who seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Sucked into the black hole, never to be seen again!

MIA Award (Forum)

Sossman 45.5%

Valiant Raider 32.4%
Ball Boy 20.6%

If anyone sees any of these guys, tell them their GH family is looking for them. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers.
mike83au wrote:Ahhh... the McLinden Award.... the one no one understands. Basically... if you show glimpses of posting brilliance on the GH yet don't follow through on that potential for one reason or another, you're the proud owner of the:

McLinden Award (Forum)

Sossman 45.5%

Dolph 36.4%
Kermit 18.2%

Two Awards in a row for Sossman!!! Remember contact Crimestoppers if cited...
It's an Honour to win both awards and I'm glad to be back.
