Anyone got any links with Keith Dryden?

I have a small share in a horse now in his stable, was with Portelli in Sydney but wasn't working out. Can't find a website or any real info for Dryden's stable.

Didn't realise this thread still existed.

Sold our old nag that was in Canberra after 7 starts 1 win 5 lasts, seemed she didn't like the heat or the wet(females, ya wouldn't feed em sometimes).

Now have 2 with Portelli in Sydney -

Ninaji unraced 3yo Octagonal filly will start racing hopefully January. Has excellent pedigree out of a Danehill mare.
Rocket Radar 2yo O'Reilly colt on track for debut same as Ninaji.

Had a great day on the punt yesterday with my mate's horse Tina's faith getting up at $4.70 in race 5 Taree then brother-in-laws horse Striding clear followed it in race 6 at $13.30, sweet. So we got on it last night in celebration. I will post tips here in future.

Yeah I had $10- on at $31 but didn't want 69 to hate me for not tipping it to him as I had zero confidence on that one.

Melbourne cup tips anyone?

Atm, I'm looking at taking a 5 horse trifecta at 1/2 units with Yeats, Delta Blues, Activation, Our Smoking Joe and Zipping....

Cup day tips

Muswellbrook race 8 no.2 Striding Clear
Muswellbrook race 6 Subreilly

Melbourne cup, Zipping(good dead track form), On a Jeune and Railings are all good value place chances but I can't go past Tawqueet and Efficient either.

I'm with BSB.

I think On A Jeune is at a very good price for a place.

you massive whore!!
i was going to get on FOO, i was searching my horse mad mates for confirmation of the bet, none of them were getting on him so i elected not to!!!

i was thinking of railings for the cup this year but if its dead that brings zipping into the fray. Tawqueet and Yates are probably the horses to beat imo

hmmmm, Our Smoking Joe has been scratched, was gonna replace him with Pop Rock but going soft on the trifecta idea. Might just chuck a hunj on the nose of Yeats, He's a cut above the rest of the field and 59 kgs won't worry him, he can lead if he needs to from barrier 4, hopefully he'll have his game face on. Pop Rock is worrying me a bit though, could be criminally unerweighted at 53kgs. there's 6 or 8 good chances in it, will be interesting.

Track rated a good 3, so that's almost a perfect track.

I settled on Zipping with a box trifecta of Tawqueet, Zipping, Poprock and On a Jeune.

Had a horror day punting after backing the winner in the 1st at Melb I've lost 5 in a row so its all up to the cup now.

Yeah, I thought about backing Delta Blues but ended up going yeats, didn't go through with my trifecta, which ended up throwing up 1st, 2nd and 4th, thank god for Maybe Better, I woulda just about swung myself.

oliver completed butched the last 400 of that race

if he doesnt bump delta blues twice (could of even bumped him once) he'd have pipped him on the line

I don't know why they were raving about a protest, Delta blues was almost dead straight and Pop Rock was all over him, I could've understood if Pop Rock ended up winning and there was protest from DB but same stable so they probs weren't too concerned anyway.

exactly, couldnt understand the protest talk, but no doubts about it, Oliver rode that ride beautifully till the last 400 and then he screwed the pooch, should have kept Pop Rock as far away as possible, it has history of hugging other horses

Tawqeet finally got found out, had no luck on the rails where he'd arsed it home before and had to go round them and had nothin... but maybe the hoof thing played a role.

The scratching of Efficient meant I only had Zipping.. Didn't get a chance to go to the tab and put the money I had on efficient on something else so ended up putting int on Everton to beat the **** tomorrow morning.
