It looks like Trump is knee deep in fixing the economy now.

It’s a bold plan - wipe out the value of the economy swiftly at the start and then easier to keep posting impressive percentage increase throughout your term from the low base

I try to avoid conspiracy theories but I’ve heard a compelling case for him deliberately trying to crash the economy for him and his friends to make a killing, but that would be giving his intelligence too much credit.

I keep getting told that it is all part of the plan. What plan is less clear.

ICE has arrested a lawful US immigrant for leading peaceful protests. President announces "first of many".

A federal judge said Khalil will remain in the U.S. as the court weighs a challenge to his planned deportation, as President Donald Trump says his arrest will be the first of many: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/pr ... rcna195786

Surprise surprise another of Trumps former advisors and mega church pastor facing charges for messing with kids, he certainly surrounds himself with enough of them.

Former Trump spiritual adviser faces charges of lewd acts with a child: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/202 ... or-charged

This article from 2022 is a long read, but interesting. It talks about Thiel and Yarmin and gives insight into the people surrounding Trump. It concludes with an interview with an at that point, little known JD Vance.

"“I think Trump is going to run again in 2024,” he said. “I think that what Trump should do, if I was giving him one piece of advice: Fire every single midlevel bureaucrat, every civil servant in the administrative state, replace them with our people.”

“And when the courts stop you,” he went on, “stand before the country, and say—” he quoted Andrew Jackson, giving a challenge to the entire constitutional order—“the chief justice has made his ruling. Now let him enforce it.”

This is a description, essentially, of a coup."

Yeah that was a key component of Project 2025.

If 2028 can have a fair election and Democrats win it’s going to take so long to fix the **** mess Trumps created and I’m confident they won’t have the balls to fix all of it, they tend to try to appear less partisan while in government.

It's now the not abiding by judicial decisions, let the courts try to enforce it line that chills me. I'd heard the rest before. Mind you, I've heard that line about the courts before as well - by Vance about a month ago.

So in direct violation of a court order, the US Executive Branch has deported 238 Venezuelans to El Salvador. It begins. Who will enforce the court's order. Nothing will happen, and more orders will be violated. The early days of a dictatorship.

In other news Trump has declared Biden's pardons invalid and has hinted at pursuing with the Justice Department his political enemies that Biden protected. But he's not a fascist.
