Being preserved for Trial 2. He’s going to be start Round 1 on the wing, is my prediction.Regs Revolution wrote: ↑February 4, 2025, 8:23 pm Tamale? Injured? Ineligible? Too far off the pace?
Strange 6 and tamale 5 are the takeaways from this list.greeneyed wrote: ↑February 4, 2025, 8:24 pmBeing preserved for Trial 2. He’s going to be start Round 1 on the wing, is my prediction.Regs Revolution wrote: ↑February 4, 2025, 8:23 pm Tamale? Injured? Ineligible? Too far off the pace?
Yeah, that's one big takeaway for mine. And the likelihood of Weekes at fullback.greeneyed wrote:Being preserved for Trial 2. He’s going to be start Round 1 on the wing, is my prediction.Regs Revolution wrote: ↑February 4, 2025, 8:23 pm Tamale? Injured? Ineligible? Too far off the pace?
Don't forget the deadly duo of Levi and Starling.Seiffert82 wrote: ↑February 5, 2025, 5:36 amYeah, that's one big takeaway for mine. Yeah, that was a bit of an early assumption once the Danny Walker thing played out.Raider47 wrote:Don't forget the deadly duo of Levi and Starling.Seiffert82 wrote: ↑February 5, 2025, 5:36 amYeah, that's one big takeaway for mine. I'm hopeful Pattie can get a bench spot straight off the bat. This trial will be important for him.greeneyed wrote: ↑February 4, 2025, 7:44 pmBut they are.Bluesbrother wrote: ↑February 4, 2025, 7:38 pm What does worry me a bit is the omission of both Starling and Levi. I'd like to think they aren't locks for round 1.
It's a beast NSW Cup spine. I fully expected Pattie to get a slowly slowly treatment this year. I know Strange got catapulted straight to five-eighth last year but the only real competition was another green player in Weekes. In Pattie's case Stick has his old reliables, intangibles/leadership #9s in Starling and Levi. He'll let them go, but slowly slowlyRaidernation wrote: ↑February 4, 2025, 10:08 pmStrange 6 and tamale 5 are the takeaways from this list.greeneyed wrote: ↑February 4, 2025, 8:24 pmBeing preserved for Trial 2. I'm low key excited about the cook, sanders, Pattie combo and see what Martin can do at the 13.
He's in No. 8.kiwi raider wrote: ↑February 5, 2025, 9:24 am No Jordan Martin is the other interesting omission, unless he's injured?

I think for young blokes it's purely defence. If Ricky trusts you to make tackles he'll pick you. Trust in Starling and Levi is very thin given they are both leaving the club at the end of this year.Canberra Milk wrote: ↑February 5, 2025, 9:17 amIt's a beast NSW Cup spine. I think you're 100% correct here. Hopefully Pattie performs in the trials and he takes that bench spot for round 1 - I'm not ruling out the possibility... for reasons you've mentioned and the fact that Ricky seemed to finally go cold on Levi at the end of last season.Bluesbrother wrote: ↑February 5, 2025, 12:30 pm I think for young blokes it's purely defence. The fact that Tamale, Timoko, Kris, Strange and Savage aren't named in this trial does make me believe Strange will start at 6 given that we can't fit all five into four centre/wing spots. I thought Sanders would almost certainly start in the halves.Raidernation wrote: ↑February 4, 2025, 10:08 pmStrange 6 and tamale 5 are the takeaways from this list.greeneyed wrote: ↑February 4, 2025, 8:24 pmBeing preserved for Trial 2. Based upon his defensive statistics in NSW cup last season I'd be very surprised to see him get a centre spot.Raiders_Pat wrote: ↑February 5, 2025, 4:52 pmThe fact that Tamale, Timoko, Kris, Strange and Savage aren't named in this trial does make me believe Strange will start at 6 given that we can't fit all five into four centre/wing spots. Tamale I'd say is locked in to start based on these team lists but I don't think it's 100% confirmed it will be on the wing... could be at centre. We'll have to wait for round 1 for a clear picture (not sure if anybody remembers the team named for the final trial last year but it was not the team named in round 1).

You might have them the wrong way around, Regsy, my boy.Regs Revolution wrote: ↑February 6, 2025, 9:31 amDeath!Raiders_Pat wrote: ↑February 5, 2025, 4:20 pmI think you're 100% correct here. Round 1
9 Starling
14 Levi
I’ll wager anything on this.
Three brothers??? Imagine the **** food bill for these three strapping young boofheads, as teenagers.greeneyed wrote:He is in No. 25?bonehead wrote: ↑February 5, 2025, 11:11 amnoah martingreeneyed wrote:He's in No. 8.kiwi raider wrote: ↑February 5, 2025, 9:24 am No Jordan Martin is the other interesting omission, unless he's injured?

Yeah there's about a 98% chance that it will be Starling and Levi but I'm not going to rule out the remote possibility until I see the round 1 team listRegs Revolution wrote: ↑February 6, 2025, 9:31 amDeath!Raiders_Pat wrote: ↑February 5, 2025, 4:20 pmI think you're 100% correct here. But Peppermint Pattie wears green.
From my perspective, the significantly more important thing is who ends the season in those key roles rather than who starts the season.Regs Revolution wrote:Death!Raiders_Pat wrote: ↑February 5, 2025, 4:20 pmI think you're 100% correct here.
