Penrith Panthers 2025

Post by The Greenhouse »

Penrith Panthers 2025 NRL season scouting report: Best 17

And then there were six. The emotional exits of Jarome Luai and James Fisher-Harris mean only half a dozen are left from the Panthers side that contested the first of their five straight grand finals in 2020. Is this finally the year they lose the motivation? Or do they come back to the field just enough for a side to mercifully bring an end to their reign?

Best 17

1. Dylan EDWARDS
2. Casey MCLEAN
3. Izack TAGO
4. Paul ALAMOTI
5. Brian TO'O
6. Blaize TALAGI
7. Nathan CLEARY
8. Moses LEOTA
9. Mitch KENNY
10. Lindsay SMITH
11.Isaiah PAPALII
12.Liam MARTIN
13. Isaah YEO

14. Jack COLE
15. Scott SORENSEN
16. Liam HENRY
17. Luke GARNER

Top 8 potential..

And there’s no way IPap gets a starting gig infront of Sorensen.

Not the strongest Panthers team I've seen for a few years, but they are so well coached they will continue to be the premier side of the comp (along with Melbourne)

Thought this was really interesting. Particularly from about 20 minutes to the hour mark.

Pretty simple system when he talks through it. I think there's a few parallels to what the clubs trying to put in place in Canberra as well.

I'd love to write them off but they're just too good. Lose so many quality players but still ... that bloody system keeps spitting them out.

Those McLean boys are going to be just amazing.

Can Cleary stay fit? No Luia to carry the side if he's not.

I think they make the 8, and if Cleary plays 20 + games, top 4. But surely they can't get a 5peat?
