Not certain why... but Hudson Young has been left out of the Australian team list.

Replacing Liam Martin in the Kangaroos squad.

Hudson Young has been rushed into the Australian squad after Liam Martin was ruled out through injury.: https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport ... 50a71e81d6

Good team other than Wishart at #11, another bizarro selection from Fittler. Huge speed in that backline and Galvin's red zone attack will complement Fog's tactical kicking

'A bit of a late bloomer': Fogarty thought rep footy had passed him by

At 30, Prime Minister's XIII half Jamal Fogarty thought representative football had passed him by.

"I'm super excited. A bit of a late bloomer, not a superstar player or anything like that, so to be able to get my first rep jersey at the young age of 30 is really exciting for me. Once I found out I was in contention I was stoked, but had to take another week and a half to get some confirmation that I'm actually in. So I was a bit nervous for a little bit, but it's been awesome."

Fogarty is certainly a calm and composed voice and plays in a calm and composed manner.
He’s going to be a good influence around Strange and Sanders as they develop their game.

MATCH REPORT: Australian Schoolgirls claim hard-fought win against Junior Orchids

The Australian Schoolgirls were made to work hard against the PNG Junior Orchids before claiming a 14-4 win at the National Football Stadium.

After soaking up some concentrated pressure for the Orchids, the Australian side were able to extend their lead in the second quarter when Gabriella Savage Fa’Aoso went over in the far left corner after a barnstorming run from prop Alice Shannon got the Orchids on the back foot.

MATCH REPORT: Late fightback falls short as Schoolboys and Junior Kumuls share honours

The Australian Schoolboys fought their way back to avoid defeat against the PNG Junior Kumuls, with the two sides playing out a 22-22 draw in a seesawing match.

In a thrilling finish to the match, the Australian Schoolboys went all out in their attack and it saw them rewarded. After being denied only a few plays earlier, Stephenson was held up after breaking through on the left, but Mitch Woods redirected the play out to the right and Nikora Williams strolled over to draw the scores level. Stepping up to convert his own try, the kick from Williams was waved away with the two sides sharing the honours.

The conversion attempt from Nikora Williams is missed. It was kickable.

Good result for the Jnr Kumuls, although I think they are an under 20s side vs under 18s. That’s two years in a row they’ve come close to winning.

I know the new PNG side will have issues but there is a lot of talent in PNG that will benefit a lot from having pathways in place.

Luke Tuialii didn't have the best of games, wasn’t able to defuse a bomb which led to one try, then took a wrong step in defending a scrum play, which also ended in a try. He’ll be back, very promising outside back. The Raiders could easily end up with two Tuialii brothers in the backline.

5th min TRY PAPUA NEW GUINEA to hooker Judah Rimbu. He just barged over from dummy half, under the posts. It is off the back of an error from Alex Seyfarth. Converted Jamie Mavoko.

He does that a lot Savage. Stays out on his man even when the centre inside him has gotten outside his man. I get it you don't want to worsen the overlap, but the most dangerous guy is the one with the ball

10th min TRY PAPUA NEW GUINEA to Robert Mathias. It is so simple it is embarrassing for Australia. Just a shift to the left. PNG has the wind behind them, but no excuses for Australia. Jamie Mavoko produces a beautiful conversion from out wide.

Papua New Guinea 12
Australia 0

Australia gets the ball back from the short kick off. The ball blown back five metres after breaking the plane.
