How wonderful it was for Mollie O’Callaghan to ask Ariarne Titmus to stand beside her on the gold medal dias during the national anthem. What a moment.
Yep, a quality swimmer and human being.
Or as Little Richard would sing:

Mixed results in the boxing with Australia's largest ever team.
Womens 60Kg Tyla McDonald defeated by her Ecuador opponent.
Mens 63.5Kg Harry Garside defeated by his Hungarian opponent.
In good news though Mens 92Kg + Teremoana Teremoana has knocked out his Ukranian opponent in the first round.
He has a Scottish mum and a Cook Islands dad. I wonder if Rapa knows him. Teremoana can dance too. See below.
Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.
This olympics has been really good save for how **** **** NineNow is and their streaming service
Arnie and Mollie race this morning was awesome, so good to see those two girls push each other. Jess Fox getting the gold in the K1 yesterday was special too

I've often thought that the number of sports at the Olympics is getting a bit much. On that note, 3x3 basketball? Cmon! How is that an Olympic sport? It's a fall back plan for basketballers not good enough to get a professional contract.
Aussie Women's sevens bow out without a medal. They had the lead in both games against Canada and the USA but could not finish it. Kiwi's won Gold.
Kyle Chalmers has the second fastest time into the Men's 100 meter freestyle final.
Shayna Jack has the second fastest time into the Women's 100 meter freestyle final.
Mollie O'Callaghan has the third fastest time into the Women's 100 meter freestyle final.
Zack Stublety-Cook won his semi in the Men's 200 meter breast stroke semi and is 2nd fastest for the final.
More defeats for the Aussie boxers at the Olympics:
Men's 51Kg Yusuf Chothia defeated by his Spanish opponent
Women's 54Kg Tiana Echegaray defeated by her Turkish opponent
Men's 80Kg Callum Peters defeated by his Kazakhstan opponent
The over representation of Australian Rugby commentators across the Channel 9 and Stan Olympic coverage and event preview shows has been ridiculous.
Ex Rugby players so full of their own sports importance and so myopic in their view of Australian Rugby and its players, has clouded their ability to provide any insight into Australian Olympic sport.
I’ve been really annoyed by their saturated rugby promotion across the coverage.

Will be interesting to see how many dead triathletes there are tomorrow. Like fish, belly up.
Well the kiwi bloke certainly died in the last 200m or so.

Running in quick sand the last 500m. Rigor mortice setting in. This is how zombie apocalypses start.
From NZers? I knew it
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate. John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.
Silver medals for Kyle Chalmers (100 Freestyle) and Zack Stubblety-Cook (200 Breast stroke) in the pool. Chalmers was last at the turn and it took a world record swim from Zhanla of China to win. Zack ran second to the French machine Marchand who also won gold in the 200 Butterfly earlier in the night.
Unfortunate for Mollie O'Callaghan who finished 4th by 100th of a second and Shayna Jack who finished 5th.
Matilda's go down 2-1 to the USA. They certainly were not disgraced in this match. They now will need other results to go their way to progress. Apart from the first game against World No.4 ranked Germany the Matilda's have played ok. USA are the No.5 ranked side so the Matilda's were in a very tough Group with their ranking of 12. Without Sam Kerr they have still been competitive, although I would have liked to have seen Michelle Heyman given longer minutes up front.
New Olympic record for the Australian Women's 4 x 200m freestyle relay team. They took about 2 seconds off the previous Olympic record.
As the late great Norman 'Nugget' May would have said: "GOLD, GOLD for Australia, GOLD."
