I heard Mad Max doesn't make an appearance (Mel or Tom) so I didn't go. Last "blockbuster" I saw was Kingdom of TPOTA. Pretty good I thought.
no because it's a prequel/origin story of furiosa

Yeah shame he wasn't. Even a cameo. Token appearance Might have helped the box office for it.

Are they making a Mad Max sequel? Might bring back the old legend Mel for a run.

Is it really that bad? Glad I didn't bother then. So sad about Chadwick - things might have been different.

No real need to see it in movies given it’s mostly dialogue rather than action (as you’d expect) and it’s not the kind of film that’s going to come with any major spoilers.
I saw it in the cinemas coz any movie about the GOAT deserves that 🫡 I like those dialogue movies every now and then for a change of pace. Ben and Matt didn't disappoint.

They are great films. The ones with Mad Max that I've seen at least. Can't speak for the new ones that dont have Mad Max in em.

I rewatch Road Warrior at least once a Year.

For what reason would you not see films soley on the basis that they dont have Mad Max in them?
He's not THAT compelling as a character that the universe cant exist without him

I've seen them all and honestly Fury Road the best of them. Furisosa isnt quite on that level. But it's better than at least 2 of the Mad Max films

I love Mad Max 2, probably based on cars and it was filmed locally at Stockton Beach where I'd spent a big chunk of my youth.
Fury road I loved mainly because of Furiosa, Prequels are always a bit awkward due to characters having to survive/develop or whatnot as you know their endpoint.

When Bubba died in Forrest Gump I stopped watching, because he was that good of a character and I refused to watch the rest knowing he wasn’t going to be in it any more.

I just never got around to watching it. I have a life you know :roflmao

My basic logic is, a mad max movie without mad max isn't enough to compel me to fork over 30bucks for tickets and popcorn. I might wait for it to pop up on 7flix, but no one should hold their breath.

Overall, I prefer the original incarnation (Tom Hardy wasn't that bad either) of a less talk, more action stoic hero - trying to survive in a barren wasteland while doing some good along the way after all the bad **** that happened to him. If that's not for you, no worries 🤷🏾‍♂️

Bubba wasn't the main character in Forrest Gump though. Did you even watch the movie? 👀🙃

It's my favourite as well. Well made action film.

Yeah, that's the problem with prequels aye - you know where theyre going to end up. Apart from Maybe Star Wars prequel trilogy, I can't remember there being too much hype over prequels, especially for a supporting character. Although I might pay money to see a Les Grossman prequel :thumbsup #DietCoke
