We have barely offered a shot. Our attack in the red is pathetic , slow.

We're not in this at all. We make it to the 40m and give the ball back , then they make it to the attacking zone more times than not.

Team showed a bit of fortitude to stem the flow of points and even get a try back. Keep it up in the 2nd half and we can limit the damage.

Ethan Strange will be playing origin football within the next 2-4 seasons. Calling it now. Kid is a freak.

Guys, consider they have TT and DCE up against Kris and Weekes , plus Brooks is far more experienced than Strange, it's no wonder we're behind.

We knew heading into this season, It'd be hard.

We're unlikely to win, but it's not a surprise.

Remove TT and DCE (both international players) from Manly and it's a different game

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

That was a pretty unlucky penalty. Manly player essentially handed him the ball.

The teams obviously in a bit of a hole mentally and physically but they had a dig and did a bit better once Manly tired and had lost a bit of speed. Can't see them getting back into the game once the Eagles get their second wind though.

Whitehead’s intercept and pass was brilliant, but reminded me of Reynolds’ on one leg. He’s shot for movement.

Better... I expect better... I expect us to work on step plays, to not look like they all just met in the car park for the first time and decided to play a team sport... To have runs where we have players moving. To use our bench based on the circumstances not whatever we planned on Wednesday morning and stick to it no matter what... I expect us to try and pick the best players available... I expect after having total control for a decade that our coach might actually be improving the team, not dragging them all down with him...

Danny Levi, 100 + FG games, he just cracks me up. Runs from dummy half on the last, then in desperation passes it back.

Didn't occur to him to pass it to Weekes or Strange in the first instance.

I agree. This is the reality.

Its a shame that we really have no idea how to attack.. its been that way for a few seasons now.

In terms of effort by the players, I can't fault it. They are trying.

Sad to see him out there like this. He is a shell of himself sadly

I’m fairly bullish on his talent myself and wouldn’t bet against this, but this is an odd game to make this call in
He’s trying hard but he’s not really threatening so far

You expect our 7, 1 and 9 to compete at the level Manly have?

It's not justified. They're better than us in crucial positions

At least he isn’t getting wrecked defensively this week
All you can ask of him is that. He’s being played at a level beyond his capabilities.

Whitehead is not fit enough to play NRL, yet, there he is. The Raider's look like a rudderless ship yet again under the master coach.
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

Come on Ultima, it’s not the coach’s job to sign the players and build the roster or teach attack or do anything at all

He’s bleeding his greenest m8, the players just aren’t very good

We’ve given away some silly penalties but geez a few of them were pretty soft compared to what we normally see let go by the refs.

They are trying.

But any team with a reggie half up against DCE or a makeshift fullback against TT, or a crap 9 in any team (be it Levi, Starling or Woolford) we were always going to get hurt

No, we know we have a young spine

but for the past 4/5 years we have had no attack, no defence. crash ball after crash ball after crash ball inside the 20m when we should allow these kids to have the shackles off and just play. Might actually surprise us. But no, it seems like ricky has them on a leash.

Much of our defence has been solid.

Some errors have been critical and the refereeing has been incredibly biased.

I reckon you blokes are kidding yourselves re: refereeing

I don’t understand why some hip drops are a sin bin and others that appear the same are not

But we’ve been **** pests in the ruck all game. Pushing it to the very limits trying to slop this game up and keep it tight
We’ve earned most the penalties given against us imo

I’m real sick of there being 2-4 players that almost every game absolutely ruin any chance of winning. You can’t win when you have blokes like Guler doubling up on errors, Levi dropping a ball cold or having no idea it’s the last tackle. Every time we lose this year we have had a few players that have been AWFUL, I’ve not seen that since the Kahler, Chalk days.

Having no real back up to Fogarty in the whole squad is a serious misstep by the club, Matt Frawley should have been kept on for 2024. That’s no knock on Weekes at all but it’s the most important position on the park and we have NO legitimate back up.
