According to the media, Trump has had some experience in the hooker position.
Carrying a fair bit of baggage with the judiciary atm though.

 Good one Red.

In all seriousness, the 9 position is by far our biggest concern. The issue as well? There is literally no one in the market to go and get. It’s slim pickings for a hooker in this day and age across the whole league. And we don’t have anyone coming up either. It’s not promising.
How good would it be if an international hooker came on the market. Someone with over 100 NRL games under their belt but still young enough to suggest they might be on the rise. We can only dream.
Cmon Billy. Let’s be real here. It is imo, the most important position in the game and it is our weakest position. Look at the last time we had a quality 9 and what we did. Unless our current hookers have a great purple patch, which isn’t out of the question, we’re gonna struggle.

Would it hurt us to give Puru a shot at 9?

Or, I know this is speculative and outlandish, but could Fogarty be transitioned to a 9 if we land the Colonel? Not sure how he would hold up defensively but at this point in time, I would try anything.

seriously Dusty? on what grounds was Levi one of our best? was it the passes a foot above Fogs head? passes behind runners? passes at the face?ground balls? was it the poor running game? the missed tackles?

Well this is just what we need right before we play the Sharks. Tigers currently embarrassing them. They'll be fired up next week looking for a bounce-back win if the Tigers go on with it.

Royce Hunt injured warming up on the sideline and Finucane split open with a few head clashes so that will take a fair bit out of their forwards covering those two.

Id much rather Finucane IN
Dude is a complete spud, our middles, even our bench middles will roll over that dude.

But by my reckoning, we beat the tigers by 20
The tigers are currently up by 24

20 * 24 (just trust me!)

we should beat the sharks by about 480 points!

Your brilliant logic fails to take account of the fact that the sharks by that logic also beat the Warriors, and so therefore, we will lose by 53

If we're at all serious this season we need to be making five changes and do it now otherwise we're just faffing about for sentimentality sake.

Kris, Schiller, Mooney, Ata and Horse in and Cotric, Hoppa, Whitehead, Guler and Saulo out. Those former players mentioned are completely toying with Cup and it's unfair and dumb that they aren't playing NRL.

Between Smithies, Horse, Ata and Mooney there is enough cover there should a second rower go down or backline player.

1. Rapana
2. Schiller
3. Timoko
4. Kris
5. Savage
6. Strange
7. Fogarty
8. Papalii
9. Levi
10. Tapine
11. Young
12. Hosking
13. Smithies

14. Starling
15. Mooney
16. Horsburgh
17. Mariota

18. Whitehead
19. Weekes
20. Hopoate
21. Saulo
22. Woolford

**** that team is exciting. Would love to see Woolford/Trev and Puru in for Levi and Starling but tbh it's much of muchness atm.

Trev did play well yesterday. He is the best of the senior hookers with the ball in hand at the club.

Problem is he is playing 20 minutes a week so will be no chance of playing extended minutes in first grade.

They probably need to make a call on letting one of the hookers go at some point, even if that is Trev. SG Ball also ends in a couple of weeks so you will have Cacciotti’s development to consider and Pattie is going really well by all reports.

Raiders are above sharks on the ladder at the moment, but as the pundits have been saying we have to remember that one of Raiders wins was only against the lowly Tigers.

And the tigers just showed us how important it is to have a good 9. Api is special. I could argue that the game would have been touch and go if it wasn’t for him.

Was just coming here to say that.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I’m not so sure we need to worried about the Sharks. They are not an elite side.

The Raiders need to worry about themselves. And if we are fairdinkum, we shouldn’t be concerned about a side starting Toby Rudolf at prop.

I noticed offloads were killing the Sharks, personally I think sharks have been Flat this year, beat the Warriors they should of put 30 on them, struggled to shut down Dogs until dogs gave up, pumped by Tigers.....Raiders will be up for this, Whitehead needs to swallow his pride and start from Bench, and here is a huge call.....come on for Young
