That finish might deflate the Warriors.

Hopefully just Horse for Guler
Switch on fella, Horse is available rnd 4.

Next week is rnd 3.

One week short of seeing Horse.
Pretty sure horse is available this week, got 4 weeks, served 2 last year, I know this because round 3 is in Christchurch and I've been looking forward to the big red handsome bastard unleashing right in front of me
Suspended after round 26 and missed week 1 of finals.
Also missed round 27 vs sharks

They’ll obviously be desperate not to go three games without a win so going to be pretty tough

2 loses in pretty tough fashion... probably felt they could have won both
They're going to be very desperate. We're going to need our A game

4 game ban from the broncos game in round 26, missed round 27 vs sharks , finals game vs Knights and rounds 1 and 2 this year. I'm not great at maths but I reckon that's 4 done

Xavier Coates leap from 5 meters out with all his body out over the side line but planted the ball for the match winning try was just sensational. Warriors had fought back so well to take the lead. Warriors will be very tough to beat next week.

He was suspended for 4 weeks. Missed Round 27, Finals and Week 1 and 2.... no?

“I have come to terms with it, but I did struggle in the off-season to train. That's when I kind of struggled with it just because I knew I still had two games to go, but I've got my head around it now,” Horsburgh told media on Tuesday.

“There's nothing I can do about it, I’ve just got to get myself in good shape and make sure when my time comes, I'm ready to go... Round 3 I’m back so I’m going to have itchy feet.

I wished Melbourne had won today. Warriors attack looked very good with shape. Johnson’s ball playing was good and they also have Metcalf, Tohu Harris and Dylan Walker that can ball play. RTS played well today. The right side with Rocco Berry ran good lines and DWZ picked up from last year. The young fullback looks good but they miss CNK organising the defence

Last time we beat the WAHs John Howard was prime minister... if ever we were going to beat them this would be the year, they are struggling and we have already won 13+ two from 2 attempts, which we failed to do in 27 rounds last year :thumbsup
Nervous about RTS carving us up, as he tends to always do.

Having looked at the original stories, Horsburgh is indeed free to play next week.

He got a four week ban, after he challenged and lost: https://www.nrl.com/news/2023/08/29/jud ... judiciary/ He would have got three weeks if he made an early guilty plea.

The incident was in Round 26. He served two games last year, Round 27 and the first week of the finals. So he only has to serve two games in 2024.

Apologies, but I took this incorrect NRL source as being correct: https://www.nrl.com/casualty-ward/?comp ... eam=500013

A big question for next week is do we bring in Schiller who is carving them up in the centres in Cup or bring back Cotric?

I'd personally go for Schiller. He is braining them ATM.

That's all based on Sebby being ruled out.

The number 13 is 100 percent Smithies'. Rick told the presser last night that he wanted "a good solid 10 minutes out of Morgan in the second half". Morgan just kept the foot on the gas the whole 80 mins and then looked like he could have gone for a 10km run afterwards. He's our 13 now.

Ok so Horse is free to play?
In for Guler on the bench.
Sticky was going to play Paps off the bench round 1 but Taps wanted him to start.
Kris failed HIA means he will miss this week .
Ricky won't make more changes , Cotric will be back on the wing and Hoppa back to centre , like round 1

Asomua, Schiller, Chevy, Stewart... Stewart will get the fullback spot eventually, the coach conceded that today.
There are 3 very good options to replace Kris this week if he's unavailable.

Woolford was very good in NSW Cup too i thought, but i am happy to say aside from one poor pass early i had no complaints from Levi tonight, so he holds his spot. Starling is a little on my radar.
Mooney is not just banging the door down, he's kicking the **** thing off it's hinges right now.

It's a good vibe.
Woolford has an infuriating habit of missing a couple of play the balls. He did it again yesterday. Young Trev had a cameo at dummy half and looked good. He might not be too far from starting in reggies.
Trey Mooney had a great game. He is a big beast and in person has that imperious manner of a guy who truly believes he is the toughest rooster on the dung pile. I dont have any particular criticism of Guler or Saulo, but form says Mooney must play.

We need to be aware of the double lead runners - warriors loved that play last night and it worked well for them. I think last night would have been emotionally draining for the Wah’s, they have been close both games so a win is coming for them and I hope it’s not this week and on that note, raiders 13+ is looking juicy imo.

Won’t happen but:

1. Jordan Rapana
2. Albert Hopoate
3. Matt Timoko
4. James Schiller/Seb Kris (pending neurologist assessment being a category 2 concussion - failed HIA assessment in dressing room)
5. Xavier Savage
6. The Doctor
7. Jamal Fogarty
8. Josh Papali’i
9. Danny Levi
10. Joseph Tapine
11. Hudson Young
12. The Mule
13. Smith’s Chips

14. Tommy Starling
15. Corey Horsburgh
16. Ata Mariota
17. Trey Mooney

18. Nick Cotric
19. Emre Guler
20. Pasami Saulo
21. Chevy Stewart

I’m so off Emre Guler. Again, fine squad member but he is so ineffective and we have seen his best. He hasn’t improved much since 2019 - 2020 and it’s clear we have other players off contract with more promise which is makes me more frustrated with Guler and his performances.

Given they re-signed Paulo this year and Emre last year, I can’t see Trey staying with a lot of opportunities for front rowers in Sydney.

I'd assume EW would make his way back through NSW cup. Hors coming back would mean Mariota drops back to NSW cup.

I don't think anyone has played badly but between saulo, guler and Mariota over the last 2 games only, guler and saulo have outperformed Mariota.

Im finding it hard to find a spot for Elliot either on the bench or in the starting line up and he may not play much this year unless our second rowers get injured.
