Raps doing his best impression of a punching bag again, bullet proof.

Big tackle!
Re: 2024 Round 1 v Knights: Game Day
Like what I've seen from Smithies.. with some conditioning he's going to be a beast.

What a tackle!!
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Re: 2024 Round 1 v Knights: Game Day
The Raiders really are being kept in their own half by the Knights, but the defence from Canberra has been good. And now finally...
61st min FORCED LINE DROP OUT conceded by the Knights. The Fogarty kick is allowed to bounce by the Knights, and Starling and Papalii drive him back into the in goal.
Danny Levi has a cork, quad injury. Hopes to be fit for Round 2.
Matt Timoko gathers in the short drop.

Good defence raiders, that's how you win games

Re: 2024 Round 1 v Knights: Game Day
Looking a much stronger defensive unit. Strange, Smithies and Hosking all great defenders.

Hoppa has actually been ok on eating up the metres on hard carries. Still think a spark from Schiller would be better.

We will miss Wighton they say. What a breath of fresh air not having his errors in the game.

Re: 2024 Round 1 v Knights: Game Day
64th min TRY RAIDERS to Xavier Savage in the corner! Set up by the Hudson Young offload, but it all goes back to that Starling and Papalii tackle. The Raiders have taken the crowd out of this now. Jamal Fogarty misses the conversion. He needed to get that one to make it a three try game.

Great work from Hoppa competing on that kick when it would have been easy not to. His attitude is the one thing he really has going for him.
