OFFICIAL: Jarrod Croker joins Canberra Raiders coaching staff



Former Canberra Raiders captain and 300 game player Jarrod Croker has joined the club coaching staff, in a new role which will see him remain with the club in 2024. Croker, who retired at the end of the 2023 season, will work with players across all grades in a dual role as outside backs and goal kicking coach.

“It’s an honour to have the opportunity to remain with the Raiders in this new role and I’m really keen to work with players from right across the grades to help them as much as I can.” Croker said. “I’ll be looking to bring my own experiences and what I’ve learnt over my career, and pass on what I’ve learnt to the next generation of Raiders players.”

Jarrod Croker expects the Canberra Raiders vice-captaincy will bring out the best in Jamal Fogarty. Croker joined the Raiders coaching staff on Tuesday, where he'll look after the outside backs and goalkicking - not just for the NRL squad, but the junior grades as well.

"He's obviously got that vice-captaincy role now and I think that's just going to help his game. I think he's is the logical one. Elliott is probably not always going to be on the field. It just seems logical to have a half do that vice-captaincy role.
