Gold Coast Titans spine doubts, burning issues, long-term contracts

Wallabies flyhalf Carter Gordon signs with Titans from 2025 on two year deal

Wallabies flyhalf Carter Gordon will join the Titans in 2025, with the exciting playmaker to make the switch to Rugby League.

Formerly at the Melbourne Rebels, Gordon has played eight times for the Wallabies, making his international debut against the Springboks in 2023.

He’s a current member of the Australian squad and has played at the Rugby World Cup.

Interesting signing to watch. I don't remember a spine player coming across in Australia pretty much ever (I don't count players like Wally and Sticky who were League juniors).

If he does succeed it would probably lead to a lot more recruiting out of Union.

Fly halves will find it easier to adjust than halfbacks. Might need a fair bit of conditioning to be fit enough, though.
