Fair enough.
Re: Parramatta Eels 2023
1 thru 11 is very strong, still a top 6 side whilst they put that on the park but depth is gone

They live and die with Hodgson.
They’ll definitely regress but I can’t agree with above post saying they’re not in the 8.
Bottom end of the 8. Still have gun halves, the best second rower in the competition and a fantastic middle third.

Eels double blow as Blake breaks arm; Brown suffers hamstring injury
The Eels have suffered a double injury blow with centre Waqa Blake breaking his arm and lock Nathan Brown suffering a hamstring complaint in pre-season. The pair suffered the injuries at Eels training, with Blake now racing the clock for Round 1 and Brown in doubt for the Pre-season Challenge.

Re: Parramatta Eels 2023
I think it's going to be interesting to see how this team gels with Hodgson. He's a very ball and control dominant hooker and Moses is also that as a half. Both players want and need the football.
Its easy to say that Hodgson has to adapt to Moses, and that's correct but Hodgson touches the ball first he gets to dictate terms (Hi Wally!) on that front
I think it could be a clunky fit if Hodgson is not willing to play his role. But if he is, and Hodgson can inject himself at key moments and otherwise play a distribution role... they'll be right back in the top 4.

I originally hought Waqa Blake was gonna be a top10 winger in the game.
He shows an occasional highlight, but regular lowlights.

Parramatta Eels re-sign Will Penisini to end 2025
The Parramatta Eels are excited to announce Will Penisini has extended his contract for two years and will remain at the club until at least the end of 2025. At just 20 years of age, Will cemented his spot in the top 30 playing every game this season including the Grand Final and earned a representative jersey for Tonga at last year’s World Cup.
“The Eels jersey means a lot to me, I grew up in the system and to be playing alongside my mates for the club I’ve loved my whole life is surreal,” said Will.

Mitchell Moses to sign $1.25m a season deal to stay at Parramatta Eels
Mitchell Moses is reportedly set to reject the Wests Tigers four-year $5.2 million deal and play on with the Parramatta Eels. Moses has been one of the hottest available properties since he want on the market as a free agent and is set to finally give the Eels the news they’ve been looking for. It was believed the Tigers were offering $1.3m while the Eels moved up to $1.25m.

Disappointed he did not go back to the Tigers but also glad that the Tigers pushed the Eels to pay top dollar.

Parramatta Eels re-sign Maika Sivo to end 2025
The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce that Maika Sivo has extended his contract until the end of 2025. A fan favourite with the Blue and Gold army, the winger has been one of the team’s top try-scorers since joining the Club in 2019, with an incredible record of 67 tries in 83 appearances. Maika’s extension adds to the recent retention of Eels juniors Dylan Brown and Will Penisini.

Brad Arthur set to re-sign as Parramatta Eels coach, will become longest-serving mentor
Brad Arthur is on the verge of inking a lucrative contract upgrade to become the longest-serving coach in Parramatta history. Eels bosses want Arthur to remain at the club until at least the end of 2025, a 12 month extension. Arthur has equalled Brian Smith (1997-2006) with his 10th consecutive season in charge of the Eels this year and a fresh extension will rubberstamp him as the longest-serving coach in Parramatta’s 76-year history.

Nothing good can come of this Moses situation for Parramatta.
Between that and the Matterson suspension it can't be a very cohesive playing group. A lot of individual agendas going on there.

Mitchell Moses extends with the Parramatta Eels to end 2026, with an option to end 2028
The Parramatta Eels have extended the contract of halfback Mitch Moses until at least the end of the 2026 season with an option for a further two years until 2028.
Mitch Moses said he is excited about securing his future with the Eels.
“We have a great bunch of boys at Parramatta and I love working with Brad and our coaching staff. I’ve been an Eels supporter since I was a kid, so this feels special.”
Parramatta Eels CEO Jim Sarantinos says securing Moses’ signature long term further solidifies the squad as they continue to build for the future.
“Mitch has been an asset to our Club since he returned in 2017 and it’s great to have him locked in as a key member of our football team for the next few years.
“We’ve had a successful football team over the last four years, and with Mitch extending his time with the Club we’ve secured a core group of players for the next few years that we can complement with the best young talent coming through our Elite Pathways system to ensure we are in a great position to continue to compete for premierships well into the future,” added Jim.
Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said, “Mitch Moses is one of the elite players in the NRL and is integral to our team’s success. He has worked hard on his game and is in career best form. As good as his recent performances have been, Mitch has his best football ahead of him and we’re all excited to see the continued evolution of his game and the team’s performances over the next few years.
“He has a beautiful young family including wonderful support from his partner Bri, and we are very happy to have them all continue to be part of the extended Eels family.”
Moses made his debut with the Eels in 2017 and has gone on to play 141 NRL matches with Parramatta. He joins an elite group of players scoring over 1000 points in his career with many more to come over the next few seasons.
The 28-year-old has also made eight appearances for Lebanon and represented New South Wales in 2021. Moses played in the Eels 2022 grand final team and won Dally M Halfback of the Year in 2019.
