Geez you’d want a big in return, a Cooke and Starling swap to start with and agreement Illias will follow soon after

Why can’t you believe it Mike? Have you only just had the TV fixed after it broke early in the 2020 season??
:roflmao
No its because it showed more today then normal, So Jared Croker is still playing well and his defence has been good, 300 plus games to come.

Yeah I thought he definitely got the touch on Branko Lee as he waltzed passed him, no idea what the ref saw. Croker isn’t horrible but he is the weak link in the backline so if Savage is to return Croker needs to say bye. Personally I wouldn’t be moving Kris and Raps and Hoppa are doing enough so I’d have Savage missing out. Who am I kidding - I’d have Morkos or Semi in for Croker but we know our coach is sentimental so that won’t happen.

I don't think so R666. That second half against the Panthers has cruelled our For and Against. In a tight competition it will continue to hurt us. Still, we have collected the 2 competition points on offer and get an opportunity to do the same against the Dogs next round.

MATCH REPORT: Jamal Fogarty golden field goal wins it for Canberra Raiders

No Canberra Raider on the field had kicked an NRL field goal. And it looked like it in regulation time as they missed one chance and failed to even look to take the kick on another. But up stepped Raiders halfback Jamal Fogarty in extra-time, the No.7 slotting it from directly in front to make it three wins in a row for the Green Machine.

They snuck home 31-30 over the Redcliffe Dolphins in Wagga Wagga on Saturday, getting some redemption for their round-two loss to the visitors up in Queensland.

CANBERRA RAIDERS 31 (Jarrod Croker, Jack Wighton, Jordan Rapana, Sebastian Kris, Jamal Fogarty tries; Croker 5 goals; Fogarty field goal) bt REDCLIFFE DOLPHINS 30 (Connelly Lemuelu 2, Euan Aitkin, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Jesse Bromwich tries; Jamayne Isaako 5 goals) at Wagga Wagga. Referee: Peter Gough. Crowd: 10,445.

'We all love him': Canberra Raiders' emotions run high for Jack Wighton

The tears said it all. How much the Canberra Raiders and Jack Wighton meant not just to coach Ricky Stuart, but Wighton as well. And the way the Green Machine got around Wighton when he scored a typically hard-running try in the sixth minute. But it was after the match where the emotion could truly be seen. Wighton broke down after a post-game interview and then Stuart did the same in his post-match press conference.

Ricky breaking down in the presser. Would love to have been a fly on the wall in a host of conversations between all involved parties over the past week. Appears to be so many conflicting stories.

Full credit to Jack for a strong display in first half but you'd have to be blind to ignore his terrible second half.

I thought fogarty was excellent though and has been for a month straight now. We need to utilise him more and keep Jack for the ball running.

Everyone has said enough about our backrows performance but I thought seb was man of the match. His passion is picking up straight after raps. Great to see!

Jesus what an embarrassment…
Crying like a babbling baby in the press conference.
I can understand Jack shedding a tear but our coach is an emotional embarrassment…
Just goes to show that he gets far too attached to players and this leads to poor contract outcomes for the club…particularly the older ‘bleed green’ personnel….
EDIT we are screwed.

Very poor take. Say what you like about Jack as a player or Rick as a coach, but you can’t question the passion and desire they have for the club and good on them both for wearing hearts on sleeves.

The second half was poor for many reasons. But I want to mention a particular one with Starling. Was 28.15 left in the half (or very close). We are on the front foot and he beats the marker with a quick pick up, he then draws the first defender perfectly and creates a hole. Fogarty does exactly what he should do and pushes into the hole Starling has created. But Starling doesn't see him. Has had no idea he'd even created a hole and doesn't look on the outside as the defender falls in.

He has no feel for the game at all. Has the physical attributes but will never amount to a thing.
