What a heart breaker. The penalty kick that did not find touch was sadly the turning point. Thought they had it up to that point. Then golden point is shaped by who wins the toss… Bad luck to the team, they did themselves and Canberra proud.

Hills Sports High will take on Patrician Brothers Fairfield in the NRL Schoolboys Cup final after beating Erindale College 22-18 in an epic finish. It certainly was a nailbiter, with the game going to extra time after the score was locked-up 18-18 at full time. But it was a try from Hills left wing Sean Pokia that saw the Sydney side claim glory a golden point thriller.

Heart breaking way to lose a finals match but there can only be one winner in golden point. Well done to the Erindale College side for making it this far. Hopefully we see a few of these players progress through the Raiders junior ranks and into FG. Big raps on Captain, Centre and Goal Kicker Regan Carr.

The commentator has said a couple of times Metcalfe has “picked up a contract” with the Raiders… and he has been playing Raiders juniors, so maybe it is an extension.

PBCF trailed 16-0 mid way in the second half, then put on 20 unanswered points, taking the lead in the final two minutes for the first time in the game. The final try scored from a charge down. Heart breaker for Hills. PBCF now go to the national final.

And in the Queensland final, Ipswich has progressed to the national final, beating Ignatius Park, 30-10.
