They really nailed that one.

The panthers are a mess. Baker is going to be just good enough to keep them out of the running for one of the better QBs in what looks like a stacked classNorthern Raider wrote: ↑July 7, 2022, 7:39 am The trade has finally happened. Yeah, exactly how I feel. Really disappointing, unnecessary move.Botman wrote: ↑July 7, 2022, 10:48 amThe panthers are a mess. Madness. This is why keeping guys like Rhule around a year too long is always a bad idea
It's strange because i sort of understand the need for this shift as far as college football goesthe bone wrote: ↑July 7, 2022, 10:44 am College football has had another seismic shift, with USC and UCLA ditching the Pac-12 for the Big-10. SEC and Big-10 both at 16 teams now.
For fun, my additions for 24 team super leagues:
Big 10
Notre Dame
Oregon
Washington
Duke (for basketball)
Virginia
West Virginia
Pitt
Cincinnati
SEC
Clemson
Florida State
Miami
North Carolina
Baylor
Oklahoma State
Kansas (for basketball)
Virginia Tech
The leftovers of ACC / Big-12 / Pac-12 plus a few group of 5 schools to combine for another 24 team league which would be the second tier league behind SEC/Big10, but slightly above the rest.
I too am sad for Panthers.....the bone wrote: ↑July 7, 2022, 11:56 amYeah, exactly how I feel. Really disappointing, unnecessary move.Botman wrote: ↑July 7, 2022, 10:48 amThe panthers are a mess. It kinda streamlines it for the NFL if they do it too. I like it.Botman wrote: ↑July 7, 2022, 12:54 pmIt's strange because i sort of understand the need for this shift as far as college football goesthe bone wrote: ↑July 7, 2022, 10:44 am College football has had another seismic shift, with USC and UCLA ditching the Pac-12 for the Big-10. but to drag the other sports into this madness makes no sense... why can't the schools just form these super conferences in college football and leave the other sports alone in their conferences now.
College football is a different beast to the other college sports, including basketball even accounting for march madness.
Just let the football programme go it on their own and leave the others where they belong
The SEC and Big 10 becoming NFC/AFC of college football is going to make for some VERY **** cool college football season.
Very unusual to see a trade where both teams get an F.the bone wrote: ↑July 7, 2022, 11:56 amYeah, exactly how I feel. Yeah I think eventually college sports will evolve to different conferences for each sport, or at the very least, specific conferences for football, and the rest combined. Till then though, and despite football being king, there comes a point when you’d take a top 5 basketball program over a team that is in the 40-50 range of top football teams.Botman wrote: ↑July 7, 2022, 12:54 pmIt's strange because i sort of understand the need for this shift as far as college football goesthe bone wrote: ↑July 7, 2022, 10:44 am College football has had another seismic shift, with USC and UCLA ditching the Pac-12 for the Big-10. How's that for a vote of confidence in Brisset.
I think Seattle will ultimately end up with him. I dont think it will be via tradeNorthern Raider wrote: ↑July 22, 2022, 3:40 pm Jimmy G now told he can seek a trade. Seahawks have the draft capital and no QB. Would be short odds to land him.
$17m in cap space is plenty to fit him in. If they brought him in via trade or FA it wouldn't be on his current deal. Fairly easy restructure and extension will sort it out.Botman wrote: ↑July 22, 2022, 4:04 pmI think Seattle will ultimately end up with him. Seattle have to be sitting there right now thinking where else can he go?
There is really no one for him now that Baker has landed in Carolina... Jimmy G's contract will eventually become guaranteed for this year, i think its the date for roster cut down... the hawks can probably bet the niners will straight up cut him before they pay him 25m to be a back up QB.
Also the Hawks only have 17m in cap space, so they would have to redo the deal or make another corresponding move to fit in Jimmy G
So they can and will patiently wait for the niners to cut him.
The browns are an interesting wild card... because of the structure of the Watson deal, they have plenty of space. They could bring Jimmy in for a year if Watson is suspended the entire season? Would they do it? I'm not sure, but they'd have the cap space and need and they've clearly decided to go all in with this roster over the next few years.
They dont have much to trade but i doubt the hawks would offer much and the Niners would probably rather send him to the AFC N than to have to cut him and risk him showing up in their division
The balance power just shifted dramatically.Northern Raider wrote: ↑July 29, 2022, 9:45 am Thats massive inclusion. The rest of the NFC East will be scrambling to upgrade their defensive backfields now.

We're into camps now and the first major injury has occurred to a contender... Bucs Center Ryan Jensen went down today with what is considered a serious knee injury. That Bucs OL is now potentially replacing all 3 interior OL... sub optimal for a team lead by Tom Brady, who hates interior pressure more than most and is now firmly in his mid 40s.

MVP in a league full of guys who aren't good enough to make the practice squad on NFL teams. This is one of the least newsworthy roster moves of the offseason.Matt wrote: ↑August 1, 2022, 2:05 pmNorthern Raider wrote: ↑July 29, 2022, 1:07 pmNek minnit. As for Cowboys, I know, its the other league, but he was still the MVP, so must have done something right. He will be a returner and very marginal WR reps guy. Likely slot given his size
Good. I need that for my fantasy dynasty team... i've had Davonte Adams go from Rodgers to Carr (i also have Rodgers in that league), i've had Tyreek Hill get traded to miami to muddy up Waddle's situation, god damn Melvin Gordon wont piss off out of Javonte Williams life... its been a very annoying off season for the 2 3 time champs who are shooting for a hattrick and 4 titles in 5 years... Deebo getting traded to some **** situation was all i needed!
3 of them have the same agent too (i think its AJ, DK and Deebo). Good off season for that fella.
$1.5m fine for Stephen Ross, which is the loose change in his ashtray.
Reckon they couldn't prove the tanking allegation so stung them bad for the tampering.
